Amity University signs MoU with Terminal Ballistics Research Laboratory (TBRL), Chandigarh, to foster research collaboration

 Prof. Prateek Kishore, Scientist & Director, Terminal Ballistics Research Laboratory (TBRL), Chandigarh, accompanied by three Scientists, Dr P K Soni, Dr Pal Dinesh Kumar and Dr Inder Pal Sandhu, visited Amity University, Noida. On this occasion, Amity University Uttar Pradesh Noida campus signed an MoU with Terminal Ballistics Research Laboratory (TBRL), Chandigarh, to foster collaboration in research, innovation and higher learning and customised solutions to address the requirements of both organizations. 

Highlighting the significance of the collaboration, Prof. Prateek Kishore Scientist & Director Terminal Ballistics Research Laboratory (TBRL) Chandigarh, said, “Research and development in any field must be backed by knowledge, which is the purpose of signing the MoU with Amity University. Disruptive research is based on knowledge attained from various experts and scientists who can provide great insights on the subject and we are sure that through this collaboration, we will be able to enhance our knowledge base and Amity researchers will add great value to our R&D system. Academic institutions should come forward and brainstorm on new ideas, collaborate with scientists and build a strong foundation, step by step.”

Addressing the gathering, Dr. W. Selvamurthy, President Amity Science Technology and Innovation Foundation, stated, “We are glad to sign the MoU with Terminal Ballistics Research Laboratory (TBRL), Chandigarh, to implement various collaborative R&D activities, in the areas of mutual interest which would address multi-disciplinary scientific and technological issues of national relevance.  The MoU primarily aims at joint research and collaborations, joint workshops, academic programs, joint supervision for Ph.D and formal institutional programs.”

During the MoU Signing Ceremony, a Talk was also delivered by Prof. Prateek Kishore Scientist & Director Terminal Ballistics Research Laboratory (TBRL) Chandigarh, on the topic, “Introduction to TBRL - Role, responsibility and mandate in the Service of Indian Armed Forces” and the MoU Signing Ceremony concluded with the felicitation of guests.
