India Immersion Programme for Tourism Management Students from Saint Marie de Chavagnes Cannes, France, concludes at Amity
Amity Institute of Travel & Tourism, Amity University Uttar Pradesh Noida campus, organized a six-day Amity India Immersion Programme from 27th October -01st November 2023, for 45 Undergraduate and Post Graduate students of Tourism Management, from Saint Marie de Chavagnes Cannes, France, which concluded in the presence of several dignitaries.
Appreciating the India Immersion Program conducted by Amity, Dr. Paula, Faculty, Saint Marie de Chavagnes Cannes, France, averred, “Through travel & tourism, we get a lot of opportunities to explore the world and meet new people, which widens our horizons and provides immense exposure. The sight-seeing activity was a great learning experience for the students. She appreciated her stay at Amity and said that they are taking back a lot of special memories from this visit.”
Sharing her experience, Swetlana, a student from Saint Marie de Chavagnes Cannes, France, said, “I had a wonderful experience staying at Amity and the faculty and students were very helpful. They familiarized me with India and I made some good friends at Amity, who supported me at each and every step. We look forward to coming back to Amity whenever we get an opportunity in the future and spend some more time in India.”
Speaking about his stay at Amity, another student, Valentina, from Saint Marie de Chavagnes Cannes, France, said, “India is an incredible country and I loved the Taj Mahal, about which I had heard a lot earlier. The warm hospitality extended by Amity will always remain in my heart, I thoroughly enjoyed my stay at Amity and also liked the Indian food.”
Speaking on the occasion, Mr. Akhilesh Gupta COO, Motherson Air Travel Agencies, opined, “Travelling enriches us with knowledge and experience and this Program will enable the students to become great professionals in the travel & tourism industry.” Ms. Gita Laxmi Dy. COO, Motherson Air Travel Agencies, said, “Travel & Tourism is the fastest growing industry across the world and a major contributor to the global economy. India is a mini world since it reflects all kinds of cultures through its diversity and I hope the students have had an amazing experience in India and I wish them good luck in their future endeavours.”
Addressing the French students during the Valedictory Session, Dr. Balvinder Shukla, Vice Chancellor, Amity University Uttar Pradesh, stated, “India is a highly diverse country and there are different religions, culture, languages and cuisines in India, yet there is unity in diversity and we respect each other’s beliefs. We hope that the Program was an enriching experience for the students of France and they were able to learn more about India and received industrial training through industry visits. Amity would like to host the students of Saint Marie de Chavagnes Cannes, France again in future and the students will always remain an integral part of the Amity family.”
Prof (Dr) M. Sajnani, Director Amity Institute of Travel & Tourism, said, “Amity was delighted to host the French students and a lot of exchange of knowledge and learning has happened through this programme. Six days are not enough to understand India completely and Amity would like to conduct such programs in future too for the benefit of the students.”
The Valedictory Session concluded with the distribution of Certificates and souvenirs to the students and glimpses of the India Immersion Program were shared with the audience.
