5th International Conference on Entrepreneurship, Innovation and Leadership (ICEIL 2023) concludes at Amity
Amity University Noida Uttar Pradesh organized the 5th Edition of the prestigious International Conference on Entrepreneurship, Innovation and Leadership (ICEIL 2023) on the theme ‘Nextgen Tools and Strategies for Business growth in Industry 5.0’, from 14th to 16th September 2023.
The Conference aimed to focus on comprehensive research on global targets and endeavours to address some of society’s greatest challenges while progressing towards industry 5.0. The three-day Conference provided a platform to researchers, innovators and practitioners to deliberate on the advancements on next generation tools and innovative technology solutions for business growth and sustainability.
Delivering the Valedictory Address, Chief Guest, Shri Kapil Dev Aggarwal, Hon’ble Minister of State of Vocational Education and Skill Development, Government of Uttar Pradesh, averred, “Starting a venture is not easy and it is after years of dedication and hard work that an institution as great as Amity has been established. Today’s generation is not very keen on agriculture as a career option; however, agriculture is one of the most important sectors of our country and under the Skill Development Programme, honourable Prime Minister is also promoting agriculture. Therefore, students should opt for agriculture as a career prospect since it has a very good scope and future. Students must create their own identity and leave a mark and a good impression at their place of work. Apart from qualifications, presentation skills, behavioural skills, IQ level and personality development are essential for becoming successful in any field. One should strive to become indispensable for their organization and treat even the junior most staff with respect and dignity. In the next 25 years, India will become the topmost country of the world and skill development will play a major role in its development.”
Sharing his words of wisdom, Dr. Ashok K. Chauhan, Founder President, Amity Education Group, stated, “During the recently concluded G20 Summit, our hon’ble Prime Minister laid a lot of emphasis on start-ups and entrepreneurship. Entrepreneurs are job creators and empower others by providing employment opportunities. The economic development of our country will be accelerated if the students aim to become entrepreneurs, self-reliant and serve the nation and Amity is not only an institution but is like a family member who will always support and help students to achieve their goals in every possible way.”
Advising the students of Amity, Shri R S Grover, Chairman, IET Delhi Local Network, stated, “Try do something different from routine work and look for innovative techniques and solutions. Devote 30% of your time in developing your own self and improving your skills. Set an example of being a good leader and appreciate all your colleagues in the organization, whether they are senior or junior to you.”
On this occasion, Amity Leadership Excellence Awards were conferred upon Mr. Hemant Vijh, EVP & COO - Digital ITO, Hexaware Technologies, Shri R G Agarwal, Founder Chairman, Dhanuka Agritech Ltd., and Mr. Ankush Goel, Vice President, Genpact.
Delivering his acceptance Speech, Mr. Hemant Vijh, EVP & COO - Digital ITO, Hexaware Technologies, said, “One should be hungry, passionate for knowledge and look for imperfections so that they can become better. Be grounded and grateful to your mentors and teachers always since they shape your future.”
Encouraging the students to work in the Agriculture Sector, Shri R G Agarwal, Founder Chairman, Dhanuka Agritech Ltd., stated, “Students should join the Agriculture Sector since the development of this sector is very important. India’s Agricultural GDP is 1/3rd of China’s GDP. Amity is doing revolutionary work in the field of agriculture and more students should come forward and join this sector.”
Addressing the gathering during the Valedictory Session, Prof. (Dr.) Balvinder Shukla, Chair – ICEIL’2023 & Vice Chancellor, Amity University Uttar Pradesh, averred, “Amity is constantly working towards providing a conducive environment to the budding entrepreneurs and students get the opportunity to work for the society during one semester of every Programme. This Conference was a huge success with more than 600 speakers and 8,000 participants and immensely beneficial for the students since they have gained valuable knowledge about enhancing their entrepreneurial skills and developing leadership qualities.”
During the Valedictory Session, awards were presented to the winners in various categories, including “Erueka: Innovative Design Project & Poster Competition”, “Lakshya: Business Plan Competition”, “Case Study Competition” and “Start-up Expo”. Erueka: Innovative Design Project & Poster Competition was won by Vishal and Simran Koli from Amity Institute of Biotechnology. The winners of Lakshya: Business Plan Competition were Pratik, Sanskar Gupta, Shivam and Khushi. The Case Study Competition was won by Ms. Anamika Mishra & Ms. Swati Mittal of Amity School of Business, Noida and the first prize for Start-up Expo was won by ATMOROW. An MoU was also signed between Amity University and Springer on this occasion.
