Amiy Law School, Amity University Uttar Pradesh, Noida campus, organized the 6th Transdisciplinary International Conference on “Navigating and Fostering the World Economy: Rebuilding Resilience for G-20.” The conference was aimed at providing a comprehensive overview of the current state of these themes and their significance in accelerating India's economic growth in the coming years. It also aimed at identifying new avenues of research to provide recommendations for future initiatives to further enhance India's economic growth while ensuring sustainability and social inclusiveness.

Addressing the gathering, Ms. Charu Pragya - Media Panelist, BJP Youth Wing & National Incharge, Legal Cell & Co-Incharge, State of Uttar Pradesh, said, “The most important aspect of G20 which India just hosted was “Jan Bhagidari” which means people’s participation and the G20 Summit had a widespread reach across all the parts of India, even in the remotest villages and small regions.”

Highlighting the impact of G20 Summit, Prof. (Dr.) Prasannanshu- Director, Centre for Linguistics Justice, and Endangered Languages, National Law University, Delhi, averred, “A new world order has unfolded with the historic success of G20 Summit. Languages act as barriers but sometimes they also act as gateways and open new possibilities since more people can understand and participate in world issues.”

Speaking on the occasion, Mr. Gopal Krishna Agarwal-, National Spokesperson, BJP (Economic Affairs), stated, “India is being looked at with great respect after the G20 Summit, which has become national pride for every citizen. The concept of ‘Vasudhaiv Kutumbakam’ is not only a concept in words but it was also implemented by our Hon’ble Prime Minister by providing Covid vaccines to many countries, thereby treating the whole earth as one family.”

Emphasizing upon the significance of G20, Mr. Anil Trigunagal, Former Ambassador, Chairman Confederation of Education Excellence, asserted, “G20 is a great achievement and must be celebrated by all Indians across the globe. Now, the onus lies on the youth to take the agenda forward and work for the development of the world.”

Addressing the gathering during the Valedictory Session, Dr. D. K. Bandopadhyay, Chairman, Amity Law School, stated, “Legal studies must acknowledge transformation of ideas and genres both within their own discipline and beyond its borders. Transdisciplinary approach promotes the capacity to integrate knowledge and modes of thinking drawn from two or more disciplines to produce cognitive advancement. Transdisciplinary concepts have become necessary because differentiation and specialization of knowledge in discrete categories have become a law of being in the 21st century. It is time we expand our horizon beyond reductive views of the law and identify and resonate its significance in other disciplines.”

During the two- day Conference, technical sessions on various themes including, “Economic Sustainability”, “Agriculture”, “Anti-corruption”, “Culture”, “Digital Economy” and “Disaster Risk Reduction”, were held amongst many others and research papers were presented by the students.

The Welcome Address was delivered by Dr. Shefali Raizada, Additional Director, Amity Law School and the Conference concluded with the Release of “Conference Proceedings” and a Vote of Thanks, delivered by Dr. Aditya Tomar, Additional Director, Amity Law School.
