Over One Lakh Amity students watch the historic landing live across India and abroad

 

The landing of “Chandrayaan-3” on the lunar surface was a groundbreaking, historic moment for India, as India successfully accomplished the mission and became the first country in the world to accomplish a smooth landing on the Southern Polar region of the moon. To mark the occasion, Amity University organized a Live Telecast of the landing of Chandrayaan-3 for its students, faculty and staff at the Amity University Uttar Pradesh, Noida campus.  

 

A sacred Havan ceremony was also organized by Amity University wherein Dr. Balvinder Shukla, Vice Chancellor, Amity University Uttar Pradesh, Dr. Gurinder Singh, Group Vice Chancellor Amity Universities and thousands of students of Amity offered “Aahuti”  and prayed for the smooth and successful landing of Chandrayaan-3 on the moon. In addition, a delegation from Colorado State University, USA comprising of Dr. Travis Maynard Sr. Associate Dean, College of Business, CSU, USA, and Mr. Stene Verhulst – Director – International Enrolment Centre, CSU, USA, and Ms. Melissa Tixeira – Regional Advisor (South Asia), also offered prayers during the sacred Havan Ceremony for the successful landing of Chandrayaan-3 on the moon.

 

Expressing his extreme pleasure and pride on this occasion, Dr. Ashok K. Chauhan, Founder President Amity Education Group averred, “The landing of Chandrayaan-3 on the moon is the most joyous, proud and historic moment for India. The whole world is looking at India with great astonishment and through the successful accomplishment of this mission, India has shown its remarkable scientific prowess to the entire world. The day is not far when India will become the Global Superpower through its outstanding achievements in the field of science, technology, research and innovation. Amity congratulates ISRO scientists who have made this possible and we are certain that the world will witness more such historic accomplishments by India in the near future.”

 

The Live Telecast was attended by thousands of students, faculty and staff of Amity across all Amity campuses in India and abroad.
