Amity University celebrates 77th Independence Day with great enthusiasm
Amity University Uttar Pradesh, Noida campus celebrated 77th Independence Day with great enthusiasm. The celebrations commenced with the Flag Hoisting Ceremony conducted by Dr. Ashok K. Chauhan, Founder President, Amity Education Group, in the presence of Dr. Balvinder Shukla, Vice Chancellor Amity University Uttar Pradesh, Dr. Gurinder Singh, Group Vice Chancellor, Amity Universities and the Head Of Institutions of Amity.
Sharing his visionary thoughts and words of wisdom on the occasion, Dr. Ashok K. Chauhan, Founder President, Amity Education Group, averred, “Today as India celebrates 77th Independence Day, every citizen of the country must not only be proud and remember the freedom struggle but also think about making about their individual contribution to the development of the country. We are assured that no power in the world can stop India from becoming a Global Superpower by 2047. It is the youth of the country who has to become future global leaders in every field including science, technology, research and innovation.
Emphasizing upon the five most important factors essential for personal growth and , he further added, “Faith in God, blessings of God and our elders, good health, taking good care of our elders and emotional stability are the five most important factors which determine the growth and development of a person, thereby ensuring the growth of the nation. Therefore, we must make sure that all these five factors are given high priority and importance and we must instill them in our life.”
Speaking on the occasion, Dr. Balvinder Shukla, Vice Chancelor, Amity University Uttar Pradesh, said, “The youth of the country can transform the world through innovation and creativity. Skill development, industry orientation, research and innovation must be integrated in our education system in order to attain holistic development of the nation. Through its Community Engagement Programs, Amity familiarizes its students with the rural areas, gram panchayats and blocks, and encourages them work for the upliftment of people and farmers living in those areas. All domains including Defence Technology, Nano Technology, Solar Technology and Semi-conductors, are the focus areas of research at Amity which will address societal needs. When NEP 2020 was announced, most of the features of the Policy had already been implemented by the Amity Education Group. Global exposure is highly crucial for the students and keeping this in mind, Amity offers various Programmes for its students and has collaborated with many international universities, bearing testimony to the philosophy of ‘Vasudhaiv Kutumbakam’. Today, on the momentous occasion of India’s 77th Independence Day, we all must pledge to become a beacon of hope and build a strong and resilient nation through our individual and collective efforts. “
The students of Amity presented various patriotic songs during the 77th Independence Day celebrations and showcased vibrant dance performances depicting the unique cultural ethos of India. Also present on the occasion were Mr. Amol Chauhan, Senior Vice President, Amity Capital Ventures, Head of Institutions, faculty, and students of Amity in large numbers.
