New Academic Session of Clinical Psychology Programmes commences at Amity University
Amity University organized a sacred Havan Ceremony to mark the commencement of the new academic session of Clinical Psychology Programmes including PsyD (Doctor of Psychology), M.Phil and Professional Diploma in Clinical Psychology (PDCP). The Havan Ceremony was performed by Dr. Balvinder Shukla, Vice Chancellor Amity University Uttar Pradesh, along with the Deans, HoDs, staff and freshers of the Psychology Department. In addition, a Registration Cum Orientation Programme was also organized for the students of the new batches of Clinical Psychology.
Sharing his words of wisdom with the students, Dr. Ashok K. Chauhan, Founder President, Amity Education Group, averred, “Seeking the blessings of God is of utmost importance at every step of life. Along with this, hard work and the blessings of your elders make you successful in your endeavours. Amity ensures that the students not only become successful professionally, but also become great future leaders who can lead the world on the path of scientific and economic development.”
Extending her best wishes to the students and their parents on the beginning of the new session, Dr. Balvinder Shukla, Vice Chancellor, Amity University Uttar Pradesh, said, “The beginning of a new academic session is a very auspicious occasion, and it is the culture of Amity to start every new session by performing a Havan. Only a few students have been selected from a large number of students who had applied for the Programmes, therefore, Amity warmly welcomes all the students who have been selected for the Programmes and the University is the largest education provider in the field of Clinical Psychology.”
Addressing the students, Dr. W. Selvamurthy, President, Amity Science Technology and Innovation Foundation, stated, “Along with mental and physical power, spiritual power is very important for the holistic development of students. Amity not only provides good education but also imbibes great human values in each student so that they can become a success story through the right guidance and motivation of the faculty and contribute to nation building.”
Also present on the occasion were Dr. D.K. Bandyopadhyay, Chairman, Amity Law School, Dr. Rushi, Director, Amity Institute of Behavioral Health and Allied Sciences, Dr. S.K. Srivastava, Senior Director and Vice President FPO, amongst others.
