Mr. George Angelo, CEO, Bisleri International, conferred upon Honorary Professorship by Amity University
Mr. George Angelo, CEO, Bisleri International, was conferred upon Honorary Professorship by Amity University Uttar Pradesh.
The Honorary Professorship was bestowed upon him by Dr. Balvinder Shukla, Vice Chancellor, Amity University Uttar Pradesh. Delivering his Acceptance Speech, Mr. George Angelo averred, “I’m extremely grateful to Amity for bestowing upon me this honour today. Amity’s commitment to academic excellence and innovation aligns perfectly with my values and ethics. I am aware of the responsibilities which come with this, and I assure you that I will uphold the values and ethos of this great institution. It is my commitment to embrace this role, collaborating with the faculty and sharing my knowledge, expertise and fostering an environment of intellectual curiosity and learning. I’m truly humbled and deeply honoured to be a part of the Amity University family.”
Sharing his words of wisdom and congratulating Mr. Angelo, Dr. Ashok K. Chauhan, Founder President, Amity Education Group, averred, “Amity is extremely delighted to bestow the Honorary Professorship upon Mr. George Angelo, who is an exceptional leader with great attributes and skills. I’m sure under his guidance, Amity students will benefit immensely from his knowledge, experience, achievements, and the outstanding ability to overcome all challenges. They will also get inspired by him and imbibe great leadership skills, which will help them immensely in their career and life.”
On this occasion, a Q&A Session was also organized wherein the faculty and students of Amity asked questions from Mr. George Angelo. While answering a question about competition and compassion, Mr. Angelo stated, “Competition and compassion are two different dimensions of life. One should have a competitive spirit since healthy competition is good but at the same time one should also be ready to help their competitors in times of crisis, which makes an individual a good human being along with being a great professional.”
On being asked a question about sustainability and entrepreneurship, he further added, “One should be highly responsible towards the environment and be a responsible entrepreneur, wherein profit-making should not be the only aim but care and concern for the environment should also be of utmost importance.”
Also present on the occasion were Dr. D.K. Bandopadhyay, Chairman, Amity Law School and Dr. Sanjeev Bansal, Dean Faculty of Management Studies, Amity University along with the researchers, senior faculty members and students of Amity, who were present in large numbers.
