“INBUSH ERA World Summit -2023” commences at Amity

Amity University organized the 23rd International Research Conference, “INBUSH ERA World Summit-2023”, on the theme, “Reimagining, Rethinking, Redesigning, Rebuilding a Conscious Earth for Creating Sustainable Global Organizations”, from 22nd to 24th February 2023.
On this occasion, Dr. Aseem Chauhan, Chancellor, Amity University, conferred Honorary Doctorate upon Prof. Soumitra Dutta, Dean, Said Business School, Oxford University U.K. in the presence of esteemed guests and dignitaries.
Delivering his acceptance speech, Prof. Soumitra Dutta, Dean, Said Business School, Oxford University U.K., said, “It is a matter of extreme privilege and honour to receive this special recognition from Amity University and it is a highly emotional moment for me. Education is an ever-changing domain and Amity’s achievements are truly remarkable, in the field of education. We are living in an era when there are geopolitical shifts, shifts in the economies and major transitions happening across the world, including the rise of China. Technology is also changing drastically and “Artificial Intelligence” and “ChatGPT” are the new buzzwords. Technology is a driver for change, and it will further keep advancing. Therefore, there is a need to initiate new learning programs, focus on innovation, take new risks, explore new possibilities and be prepared for challenges. Today, the world is looking at India and India’s success swill contribute to world development as it will emerge as the 3rd largest economy in the next ten years. Lastly, one must always deliberate upon and fulfil their responsibility towards the society by being a responsible citizen and a role model for others.” He called upon the students to be punctual, respectful, humble and open to learning.
Addressing the gathering, Dr. Aseem Chauhan, Chancellor, Amity University, said, “The Conference is one of the largest conferences conducted year after year at Amity and the presence of such esteemed and accomplished dignitaries is a testimony of their commitment and concern towards the students of Amity. Their support and motivational words for the students hold great significance and students must learn and takeaway the mantras of success by listening to them.”
Sharing his success story with apollo Tyres, Mr. Onkar Singh Kanwar, Chairman Apollo Tyres Ltd., called upon the students to never lose hope and learn from failures, care for people in the company, study the market and adopt technology that is adaptable and affordable.
Highlighting the significance of the International Conference, Dr. Gurinder Singh, Group Vice Chancellor, Amity University, averred, “Amity, under the visionary leadership of the great leader, Dr. Ashok K. Chauhan, strongly believes in providing immense global exposure to its students so that their knowledge is enhanced, they become great human beings who can make their country proud. The Conference is extremely significant as 1000 research Papers will be presented, two high-impact research paper conferences and case study conferences will be held, apart from the release of six Scopus Indexed books, during the three-day international conference. The Conference will also witness new launches of various centres and signing of highly significant MoUs between Amity and other prestigious institutions of the world.”
Delivering the Keynote Address, Mr. Anant Agarwal, Chief Executive Officer, Edx, stated, “The four trends for learner-centric University include data-enabled, personalized learning, growth of modular, stackable learning, shift to blended learning on campus, mapping learning to career. All these are extremely crucial for tech-enabled, holistic education.”
Speaking on the occasion in online mode, Ms. Vickey Lester, Chief Executive Officer, the Case Centre, said, “Case Studies are highly effective tools which help in analysing difficult problems and finding their solutions. Students must always refer to Case Studies for problem-solving and learn from various examples cited in different Case Studies.”
On this occasion, Ms. Vickey Lester, Chief Executive Officer, the Case Centre, was conferred upon Amity Global Excellence Award, Prof. Anant Agarwal, Chief Executive Officer, Edx, was conferred upon Amity Global Leadership Excellence Award and Mr. Onkar Singh Kanwar, Chairman Apollo Tyres Ltd., was conferred upon Amity Global Corporate Leadership Excellence Award.
MoUs with several Universities were signed including Illinois Institute of Technology, Chicago, Yorkville University Canada and Johnson School of Business, Cornell University, to mark the beginning of strategic alliances and new international partnerships. In addition, Centre of Excellence for Green Technology Management and Climate Change was launched and Springer Journals, Books on Conference Proceedings and Amity Journal of Happiness & Peace Books were released during the Inaugural Program.
During the three-day Conference, Panel Discussions on “Redesigning & Rebuilding Economies through Education & Strategic Partnerships: India and North American Region” , by Mr. Sam Pitroda, renowned Indian Inventor, Telecommunication Engineer, “Impact of New Education Policy 2020 & Free Trade Agreement: Indo UK Bilateral Relations” by Lord Karan Bilimoria Chancellor, University of Birmingham, UK, will also be conducted amongst others.
