Amity Innovation Incubator organizes “Investor Pitch Day” for Start-ups
Amity Innovation Incubator, Amity University Uttar Pradesh Noida, organized an “Investor Pitch Day” for Start-ups with the aim of raising funds to grow their business. The event, held physically, brought together a diverse group of investors, from various backgrounds and walks of life, interested in supporting 15 early-stage Start-ups, including Wowmom Foods, T-Assets, Digilooks Healthcare, Stargaze, Mimblu, amongst others, who pitched in front of Amity investors consortium.
Inaugurating the Programme, Dr. Aseem Chauhan, Chancellor, Amity University Rajasthan, averred, “Through this Programme, upcoming entrepreneurs will get the opportunity to establish themselves and grow their ventures. Through the Amity Innovation Incubator, we nurture future entrepreneurs by shaping their ideas and providing them with space, capital and guidance. The objective of this program is to bring forth talented startup founders who can present their ideas in front of potential investors, for the purpose of raising funds for their ventures. At Amity, the focus has always been to encourage innovation and entrepreneurship, which is in line with the Prime Minister’s vision of “Aatm Nirbhar Bharat” and we encourage our students to start entrepreneurial ventures and become self-reliant.”
Also present on the occasion was Mr. Amol Chauhan, Senior Vice President, Amity Capital Venture Limited.
55+ investors from funds and networks such as IAN, YourNest VC, Sanchi Connect, Agility Ventures, Fluid Ventures, Lead Angels, Let’s Venture, BioRx, Meity Startup Hub, We founder Circle, FAAD Networks along with several individual investors and HNIs participated in the Programme, wherein each startup was given 20 minutes for making a presentation, in which 10 minutes were allotted for sharing information about their venture and 10 minutes for a Q&A with the investors.
Participating in the Programme, Mr. Sushant Sharma, Founder at Digilooks, said, "We are thrilled with the outcome of our investor pitch day," said "The event gave us the opportunity to showcase our innovative services and connect with investors who share our vision for the future."
Sharing their experience, Mr. Rahul Tyagi and Ms. Samiksha Yadav, Amity Alumni and Founders Ugees, said, "The investor pitch day was a great success, and we received a lot of interest from investors who are excited about what we're doing. We're looking forward to building on this momentum and working with our new investors to take our company to the next level."
Mr. Amit Mahajan and Mr. Dhruv Bajaj, Founders of T-Assets presented their business plan, including its financial projections, growth strategy, and market opportunity. The presentation was followed by a Q&A session, where investors had the opportunity to ask questions and learn more about the Start-ups plans.
Another Start-up Mimblu, a text-based behavioural wellness platform that provides the easiest access to mental healthcare within a clinically proven format to help with stress, anxiety and depression. The users interact with therapists and communicate via async text, voice notes or live video.
Several Start-up organizations were also a part of The Samriddh Accelerator Program by the Meity Start-up Hub. Also present on the occasion was Mr. Jeet Vijay, CEO of Meity Start-up Hub who highlighted the significance of Start-ups in this new era of India’s G20 leadership.
The “Investor Pitch Day” was moderated by Mr. Sahil Pruthi, Founder of Livofy, a successful story from one of the earlier pitch days organized by the Amity Innovation Incubator. Sahil was offered funding by Sharks in Season 1 of The Shark Tank India.
