Amity University inks an MoU with Trivitron Healthcare Groups of Companies
Dr. G. S. K. Velu, Chairman & Managing Director, Trivitron Healthcare Group of Companies along with Dr. Chandra Ganjoo, Group CEO, Mr. Hitesh Mathur, Senior Manager, Corporate Marketing, Trivitron Healthcare and Mr. Gaurav Bhanot, Business Manager, Trivitron Healthcare, visited Amity University Uttar Pradesh, Noida campus, to discuss the scope of collaboration between Amity Education Group and Trivitron Group, in the area of Science and Innovation through R&D collaborations in Diagnostics, Health Technology and Medical Biotechnology.
Addressing the gathering, Dr. G. S. K. Velu, Chairman & Managing Director, Trivitron Healthcare Group of Companies, averred, “Trivitron Healthcare, founded in 1997, is a leading company which makes Advanced Medical Technologies accessible and affordable across the globe and deals in medical devices, healthcare delivery through its chain of multi-speciality hospitals and pathologies and healthcare investments. The company owns multiple global brands and is a world leader in new-born screening. India imports 85% of medical devices from other countries including China and US, and through this partnership, the aim is to manufacture the medical devices in India so that we become “Aatm nirbhar” and strengthen the industry-academia association. In addition, the company has identified some technologies which can be transferred by Amity and have the potential of commercialization, thereby ensuring the outcome of the collaboration. Apart from this, the company will also identify potential students of Amity who can be recruited by the company.”
Speaking on the occasion, Dr. Chandra Ganjoo, Group CEO, Trivitron Healthcare, asserted, “Amity has set a benchmark for educational institutions across the globe. Trivitron healthcare is one of the largest medical equipment company and the partnership will help in research and innovation, development of cost-effective technologies, upskilling of workforce, thereby contributing to the scientific and economic development of the country.”
Welcoming the guests, Dr. W. Selvamurthy, President, Amity Science and Technology Innovation Foundation (ASTIF), stated, “Amity is extremely delighted to sign the MoU with Trivitron Healthcare and the collaboration will contribute towards improving the medical and healthcare sector of India together, aligned with “Aatm nirbhar Bharat” and “Make in India” initiatives of the honourable Prime Minister.”
The MoU Signing Ceremony concluded with the felicitation of the Guest and a Campus Familiarization Tour.
