“18th Convocation-2022” commences at Amity University
4,438 Graduands receive their Degrees and Diplomas on the first day

The “18th Convocation- 2022” commenced at Amity University Uttar Pradesh, Noida campus, spread over three days, from 10th-12th November. During the first day, a total of 4,438 Graduands received their degrees, diplomas and certificates, medals and trophies from Management domains along with Finance, Travel and Tourism and Architecture Planning and Design, graduating from Amity University campuses at Noida, Lucknow, Dubai and Tashkent.
On this occasion, Mr. C.P. Gurnani, CEO and MD, Tech Mahindra, Mr. Maroof Raza, Strategic Defence Expert and Prof. (Dr.) M. Srinivas, Director, AIIMS, were conferred upon Honorary Doctorate Degrees by Dr. Ashok Chauhan, Founder President, Amity Education Group, Dr. Atul Chauhan, Chancellor, Amity University Uttar Pradesh and Dr. Balvinder Shukla, Vice Chancellor, Amity University.
Delivering his acceptance speech, Mr. C.P. Gurnani, CEO and MD, Tech Mahindra, stated, “Amity is one of the leading education groups in the country which has set a benchmark, not only in India but globally as well. One must find opportunities in challenges as challenges provide an opportunity for growth. Amity students will be able to achieve huge success in their endeavors by following the valuable guidance of Honourable Founder, Dr. Ashok K. Chauhan, who is a visionary leader and outstanding mentor.”
Humbly accepting the Honorary Doctorate Degree from Amity University, Mr. Maroof Raza, renowned Strategic Defence Expert, averred, “The students of Amity are making a name for themselves and their country in the entire world, through their exceptional skills, talent and education which they have received at Amity. Amity has world-class infrastructure which surpasses many leading global institutions. The faculty is highly accomplished, and the education imparted at Amity is of the highest standard, therefore, each and every Amitian must feel very proud of themselves and feel fortunate that they have got the opportunity to study, at one of the best institutions of the world.”
Extending his gratitude to Amity University, Prof. (Dr.) M. Srinivas, Director, AIIMS, averred, “The students must pursue their dreams with complete dedication and hard work to achieve the impossible as Amity provides them with all the facilities and support for making them great leaders of tomorrow.”
Expressing his extreme pleasure on this occasion, Dr. Ashok K. Chauhan, Founder President, Amity Education Group said, “Everyone present here today is highly blessed and fortunate as they have extraordinary wisdom, foresightedness and the blessings of the Almighty. Amity provides not only a high level of education but also imbibes values and “sanskars” in its students, which make them stand out from the rest. The faculty members, Directors, Deans and Head of Institutions have contributed immensely in making Amity truly excellent and remarkable in all spheres. Today, Indian economy is at the fifth position in the world, but the day is not far when India will become the number one economy of the world and it is Amitians who will make this possible.”
Highlighting the pioneering accomplishments of Amity University in the previous academic year, Dr. (Prof.) Balvinder Shukla, Vice-Chancellor, Amity University Uttar Pradesh, asserted, “Amity is a leading scientific research and innovation driven University where holistic development of students is of utmost importance. With more than 100 value-added Programmes, over 19,000 Research Papers published, 5,500 books written by its faculty and more than 300 MoUs signed with leading organizations and institutions across the world, Amity has been rewriting and reshaping the educational sector, under the visionary leadership and mentorship of our Founder President, Dr. Ashok K Chauhan.” She congratulated all the Graduands, wished them success in their future endeavors and called upon the students to be strong, hard- working, sincere and keep the flag of Amity flying high.
During the first day of the Convocation, 31 “All Rounder Achievement” Trophies were given away and 223 silver, gold and bronze medals were awarded to the meritorious students and “Maj. Gen. K. Jai Singh Award” was given to Anmol Kapoor, a student of Amity Business School. In addition, 59 students were bestowed with Shri Baljit Shastri Award for “Best in Human & Traditional Values” and 12 Corporate Awards were presented to the students at the Convocation ceremony, which was attended by thousands of students, their families, faculty members, HOIs, esteemed dignitaries and officials of Amity in large numbers.
