Technology Transfer Agreement signed between Vedic Vigyan Creations LLP, New Delhi and Amity University Uttar Pradesh

Amity University Uttar Pradesh signed a Technology Transfer Agreement with Vedic Vigyan Creations LLP, New Delhi, facilitated by Directorate of Innovation and Technology Transfer (DITT), Amity University Uttar Pradesh.
Addressing the gathering, Mr. R. K. Singhal, Founder and Partner, Vedic Vigyan Creations LLP, averred, “Vedic Vigyan Creations LLP is a start-up company, having “Ayushyam” as its brand name. The start-up is into the manufacturing of organic products, dedicated towards providing a healthy lifestyle through its natural and organic products by promoting organic farming and traditional methods of making products. Till now, Ayushyam has already launched 34 products into the market and further planning to increase the product line to over 300 products including ayurvedic medicines, organic food items and so on. Since Amity has always led the path of research and innovation, a lot of organic products developed by Amity scientists and researchers can be promoted through Vedic Vigyan Creations.”
“Endophytic activity of Talaromyces Purpureogenous HNB9”, developed by Dr. Amit Kharkwal, Deputy Director and Associate Professor, Amity Institute of Microbial Technology, is an axenically cultivated, novel root colonizing fungal strain. The fungus has exhibited various Plant Growth Promoting (PGP) activities like phosphate, zinc, silica, iron solubilization and auxin production, etc. The fungus also secretes red coloured compounds in the medium which can be used for various industrial uses including food, pharma and textile industry.
Highlighting the significance of the technology being transferred, Prof. (Dr.) Ajit Varma, Vice President, Amity Science Technology & Innovation Foundation, said, “This is a major value addition to the existing range of fertilizers which helps in the production of microbes in a natural way with the presence of essential minerals such as zinc which enhance the fertility of the soil, thereby enhancing the growth of plants.”
Dr. B.C. Das, Vice President, Amity Science Technology & Innovation Foundation, said, “Research and innovation has always been at the forefront at Amity. This is a very important bio fertilizer which is natural and organic. We know how harmful chemical fertilizers and pesticides are, which can cause health hazards such as cancer and other ailments. This is an organic fertilizer which is non-toxic and also helpful in achieving environmental sustainability.”
The Technology Transfer Agreement Signing Ceremony was attended by the researchers, faculty and Head of Institutions of Amity in large numbers.
