Star Cast of upcoming web series, “Guilty Minds” visits Amity University

The Star Cast of the upcoming web series, “Guilty Minds” visited Amity University, Noida, Uttar Pradesh, to participate in a Panel Discussion on the topic, “The Courtroom: Cinema vs Reality”.

Addressing the gathering on this occasion, Ms. Shefali Bhushan, Director, “Guilty Minds”, stated, “Coming from a family background of lawyers, I have closely observed the life of lawyers and I’m very well aware of the way in which legal proceedings take place in our country. Though Indian movies usually glorify courtroom dramas and sometimes portray unrealistic situations, we have made a sincere attempt to keep the web series as close to reality as possible. Through this web series, we would like to raise questions in the minds of audience about the legal system and create an awareness about the same.”

Sharing her views on the occasion, Shriya Pilgaonkar, Lead Actress, “Guilty Minds”, said, “The series is an honest and genuine endeavor to bring out the reality of courtrooms. It is not just a courtroom drama but a story of human relationships and emotions which is thought-provoking as well as entertaining. We urge the audience to watch the web series and are looking forward to their feedback.”

Varun Mitra, Lead Actor, Guilty Minds, said, “We are glad to be present here today and address the young audience of Amity as the story involves two young lawyers who, otherwise, best friends, stand against each other in the courtroom and are thorough professionals. The web series will definitely find a strong connect with the audience and they will be able to relate with the same as the characters portrayed by us are very genuine and close to real life characters.”

The event concluded with an informative and engaging Panel Discussion on the topic, “The Courtroom: Cinema vs Reality” by the Star Cast of “Guilty Minds” including Varun Mitra and Shriya Pilgaonkar, Shefali Bhushan, Creator and Director, “Guilty Minds” along with Senior Advocates including Advocate Ameet Datta, Partner, Saikrishna & Associates and Advocate Ritu Bhalla. The panelists shared their views and highlighted the various aspects of the legal profession during the Panel Discussion which was followed by a “Q&A” Session where the law students of Amity interacted with the panelists.
