Amity University, Noida, Uttar Pradesh signs MoU with University of Malaysia (UNIMAP) for Research and Academic Excellence
Achieving yet another milestone in its journey, Amity University, Noida, Uttar Pradesh signed an MoU with Universiti Malaysia Perlis (UniMAP), in the presence of high level delegates from Ministry of Higher Education, Malaysia, to explore numerous opportunities of collaborations towards Research and Academic excellence.
The collaboration between Amity, a leading Research and Innovation driven University and Universiti Malaysia Perlis (UniMAP) will be of immense significance in exploring the numerous opportunities of collaborations towards research and academic excellence, between the two countries.
Addressing the gathering on this occasion, Her Excellency, Ms. Noraini Ahmed, Minster of Higher Education, Malaysia, averred, “The signing of this MoU is highly significant as it will strengthen bilateral ties with India, on all fronts. The establishment of this MoU allows Amity and Universiti Malaysia Perlis (UniMAP) to engage in inter-cultural exchange of innovative ideas, knowledge and information. Through this MoU, the aim is to support the goal of international education and help students to address the global challenges of today’s evolving world. This will also help in exchanging the knowledge, expertise and technology between the two countries and prepare the students to face the uncertainties of tomorrow. The Minister invited the students of Amity to visit the University in Malaysia and further added, “By drawing synergies from each other, we can together make a difference in the world.”
ighlighting the significance of the Signing of the MoU, Prof. TS. Dr. Zaliman Sauli, Vice Chancellor, Universiti Malaysia Perlis (UniMAP), said, “We are highly pleased to be signing this MoU today with Amity University, which is one of the top Universities of India. This is in line with the education goals defined by our University which focusses on the enhancement of digital transformation. UniMAP has published high quality journals which are highly informative for the students and we are certain that with the high quality of education, along with the cultural values, which the two Universities are providing, India and Malaysia will become the centres of global education hub. Universiti Malaysia Perlis (UniMAP), is a young University with less than 50 years of establishment which has earned global reputation. The activities and programmes conducted jointly by both Universities will fully prepare students with knowledge, information and skill sets required to address the challenges of the developing world.”
Expressing extreme pleasure on this occasion, Dr Ashok K. Chauhan, Founder President, Amity Education Group, stated, “Today, we are heading on a new journey which will pave the way forward for Amity students by providing them global exposure and opportunities to enhance their career. Sharing his views on the occasion, Dr. Aseem Chauhan, Chancellor, Amity University Haryana, averred, “This is a historic and proud moment for all of us present here today, as it marks the beginning of a new strategic partnership between Amity University and Universiti Malaysia Perlis (UniMAP). This association will foster a strong collaboration between researchers and academics, and provide opportunities for new enterprise initiatives and projects. Some of the common values and philosophy which we share with UniMAP include providing a high quality of education, inculcating cultural and moral values in students, making the students aware about employability in various sectors and focussing on sustainability and these common values can contribute significantly to the global development and create a huge impact.”
Speaking on the occasion, Dr. Balvinder Shukla, Vice Chancellor, Amity University Uttar Pradesh, stated, “This is a highly significant and proud moment for us as the two Universities are joining hands by drawing synergies from each other and working together towards a common goal. The economic development of our country is possible only when we broaden our horizons and move ahead together with the world. Therefore, the Signing of the MoU holds a special significance for all of us as it will help the students to fulfill their aspirations, become successful in their respective careers and become global citizens of the world.”
Also present on this occasion were dignitaries from the Ministry of Higher Education, Malaysia and Senior Faculty Members from Universiti Malaysia Perlis (UniMAP). The MoU Signing Ceremony concluded with the felicitation of the dignitaries and was attended by the faculty, researchers, scholars and students of Amity in large numbers.
