Amity Youth Fest-2022 inaugurated at Amity University
Amity University, Noida, Uttar Pradesh is organizing the Amity Youth Festival - 2022 from 24th March to 26th March 2022, for both University and School (9th -12th Std) students in hybrid mode.
More than 20,000 students from Central Universities, Colleges and schools have registered for various competitions, being organized during the Fest. Some of the renowned participating institutions include Banaras Hindu University (BHU), Delhi University (DU), Indraprastha University (IP University), York University (Canada), National Law University (NLU) Jodhpur, Mumbai University and IIT’s, to name a few.
Addressing the gathering during the Inaugural Programme, Guest of Honor, Shri Awanish Kumar Singh, Hon’ble Member of Legislative Council, Uttar Pradesh, averred, “Today’s youth have to lead the “Ek Bharat, Shrestha Bharat” initiative, under the visionary leadership of our honourable Prime Minister Shri Narendra Modi. The country is walking on the path of economic progress and development and in the last 75 years of independence, we have become self-reliant, as a nation by advancing rapidly in the field of industrial development. Today’s youth must be well aware of his duties along with his rights and should act as a responsible citizen of the country. The last two years of Covid crisis have provided us with a lot of opportunities and we have seen huge technological development as new technologies emerged during this period through which we could stay connected with each other, even during these tough times.”
Sharing his views on the occasion, Guest of Honor, Shri Guru Prakash, National Spokesperson BJP, stated, “Through this initiative, we have connected the students from different institutions, with each other, which will help in providing immense learning and exposure to the students. Another wonderful initiative by Amity University is “Samvidhan Radio Amity”, which is helping in spreading awareness about the constitution of India and providing useful information about law-related policies. We must remember the people who have contributed immensely in making the Constitution of India, including Dr. B.R. Ambedkar and other core members of his team. Overall Personality Development of Students besides imparting quality education should be the focus area of educational institutions so as to ensure that the students are not only excellent professionals but also good individuals, with an understanding and regard for human values, who take pride in their heritage and culture and Amity University is following the same.”
Speaking on the occasion, Prof. (Dr.) Balvinder Shukla, Vice Chancellor, Amity University Uttar Pradesh, said, “In keeping with the vision of our Hon’ble Founder President, Dr. Ashok K. Chauhan, we are glad to organize Amity Youth Fest-2022 in hybrid mode. Amity Youth Festival (AYF) is organized every year, bearing in mind the significance of Innovation, Interaction, Communication and Technology, which are the core focus areas at Amity. We, at Amity, truly believe in nurturing the creative talent of our students and encourage them to participate in various activities, through which they can hone their skills and develop their personality. The various competitions being organized during the Youth Fest will provide a platform to the students from different schools and colleges to showcase their talent and creativity and will also impart them great learning of different subjects.”
During the three-day Fest, the University will be hosting 73 technical and non-technical competitions, including Treasure Hunt Computer Security Challenge, Animation Film Making Competition, Business Idea Competition, Literary Quiz, Drone Rage, Finquest, Cyber Hack, Technovation and many others, for University and College students and 43 competitions are being hosted for School students which include Codigo- Python Program Coding Challenge, Story Board Design Competition, Bridge the Gap -Model Making Competition, Story Telling Competition and Foot Stanz- International Dance Competition, amongst others.
During the Inaugural Programme, well-choreographed dance performances and melodious musical performances enthralled the audience. The auditorium was packed to its full capacity with the students, faculty members, staff, researchers and scholars of Amity University, who attended the Inaugural Programme in large numbers.
