Amity Law School, Amity University, Noida, Uttar Pradesh organized a Guest Lecture on India-Nigeria Bilateral relations, by Mr. Ismail A. Alatise, Ambassador/ Deputy Head of Mission, Embassy of Nigeria, Moscow, Russia, as a part of its International Lecture Series- ‘Taking Amity to the World and bringing the World to Amity “.
The lecture was organized in continuation of Amity’s endeavour to internationalize Amity Law School, NOIDA and revolved around India-Nigeria Bilateral relations with a special focus on how educational avenues have strengthened the bond between both the nations.
Speaking about India-Nigeria Bilateral relations, Mr. Ismail A. Alatise, Ambassador/ Deputy Head of Mission, Embassy of Nigeria, Moscow, Russia, stated, “India and Nigeria enjoy warm, friendly, deep-rooted bilateral relations and largest trading partners. At present, India is Nigeria’s largest . India is the largest democracy in the world, with a diverse culture and has been a very active player in UN Peace Keeping.
He expressed his desire to look for new opportunities where the two countries can collaborate and expand their relations. Recalling his visit to Amity, he lauded the high quality of education provided by the University and the excellent performance of its students in various fields. India and Nigeria should collaborate in the field of education and create new opportunities for collective growth and development of the two nations. Our students would like to study in India and we would also like to welcome students from India to study at our Universities and create new employment, investment and business opportunities, averred The Ambassador.
Sharing his views on this occasion, Dr. D.K. Bandopadhyay, Chairman, Amity Law School, Noida, averred, “Taking the relationship between India and Nigeria forward, we would like to welcome students from Nigeria to study at Amity as we have created one of the largest law schools in the country, under the guidance and mentorship of our Honourable Founder President, Dr. Ashok Chauhan. We would also like to collaborate with Nigerian Universities so that Amity students can visit Nigeria, understand its culture and education system and do commendable work together, especially in the legal profession.”
The Guest Lecture was attended by the Faculty, Researchers, Scholars and students of Amity University, in large numbers.
