Teachers Day Celebrated at Amity university
Amity Institute of Behavioural and Allied Sciences (AIBAS), Amity University, Uttar Pradesh celebrated Teachers’ Day to commemorate the birth Anniversary of Dr. Sarvepalli Radhakrishnan on September 6th 2021 with much enthusiasm virtually. This day was celebrated to appreciate and acknowledge the efforts and hard work put in by the teachers in making the students successful in their academic pursuits and in their lives there after.
Teachers' Day is dedicated to the teachers, mentors and gurus who groom the students to be better human beings and responsible citizens of the country. AIBAS that nurtures students to be the future Social Engineers, has long been inculcating the spirit of values and ethics in the prospective teachers. The student teachers presented a befitting array of items thanking, appreciating and applauding the efforts of their teacher for bringing out the best in them. Addressing the gathering, Dr Harish Kumar, HOI, AIBAS motivated the students to remain grounded and face the challenges of life in the best possible manner. He emphasized on the need to equip oneself with the latest trends in teaching – learning in order to become an effective teacher. He also implored the students to enrich their content knowledge in order to be industry ready and become successful in their career.
The students performed a cultural program for the teachers in order to bring alive their utmost respect and appreciation for the dedication and hard work the teachers put in for them. The teachers were felicitated with bouquets of gratitude and gratefulness. The colourful programme included sharing of experiences, skit, recitation of self- composed poems on Teachers and the like. Amazing videos of students expressing their love and gratitude were also part of the programme. The Coordinator, Dr Raj Lakshmi Raina, thanked the students for the wonderful presentation and loving gesture and wished all the students success in their life. Over 175 students of the two programmes of AIBAS (B.El.Ed and D.El.Ed ) attended the event alongwith the teachers and HOD’s.
Learning Outcomes-
1. The students came to know about the importance of teacher’s day celebration.
2. The students got aware of some of the contemporary and veteran teachers.
3. It helped the students to recognize the central role teachers play in nurturing and guiding infants, children, youth and adults through the lifelong learning process.
