In continuation of the celebration of Azadi Ka Amrit Mahotsav a Webinar on, “Are we really evolved society in 75th year of Independence” organized by Amity Business School at Amity University, Noida Campus. During the webinar, Mr. Vijay Bhutani, Founder, Techno-Vizion Associates and Dr. Praveen Chaturvedi, Associate Director, Delivery Excellence in HCL Technologies shared their thoughts.

Mr. Vijay Bhutani, Founder, Techno-Vizion Associates said “India is a young country, with nearly 65% of the population below 35 years therefore, we should utilize the power of youth in the contributed of Nation building. The GDP value of India represents 2.32% of the world economy, which shows good growth over years but needs to grow further. We have established core industries and have acquired technical competence and are keeping our knowledge updated in diverse fields like manufacturing, service, construction, mining, food, projects etc. Our education system has undergone a great change, starting from the manner in which primary education is imparted to professional education. We have realised that engineering, medical and law are not the only sectors which provide employment. Sectors like fashion, media are also creating job opportunities. In THE past years India has evolved and learnt the importance of digitalisation and are rapidly taking full advantage of it. We have begun to give value to environment management and our commitment towards society. Different generations have evolved differently with different value systems, different outlook towards life. Millennials of the present generation are more interested in being independent and have their own business as compared to the earlier generation who wanted to take up jobs”. Talking about market, Mr. Bhutani said markets have vastly expanded with industrialization and growth, demand has grown for products and services.

Dr. Praveen Chaturvedi, Associate Director, Delivery Excellence in HCL Technologies said “we as a country should focus on discipline. Most of us do not understand the importance of time. We love being ‘Just not in time’ unlike most of the wold that is ‘in- time’ or ‘just in time’. Discipline in making and upholding commitment is what we have to focus on. We must focus on quality by bench marking (quality of education, healthcare, products and services) for becoming world leaders. We still crave for imported stuff because of its quality. Focus on high end technology based companies, data centres and renewable power should be our priority. This is the age of digital media marketing and must be harnessed now, more than ever. A transition layout for the imminent digital future should be planned without compromising on employee efficiency or data safety. This is the time to review our R&D thinking, with cutting edge technologies available and with competent manpower available, focus on R&D has to be reinforced, which will prepare us for future,” said Dr. Chaturvedi.
