Webinar on the teachings of Netaji Subhash Chandra Bose
Amity University, Uttar Pradesh organized a webinar on the teachings of Netaji Subhash Chandra Bose on the eve of yearlong celebration of Subhash Chandra Bose Birthday , wherein Prof. K K Sharma, MM College, Modi Nagar a well-known historian, addressed a large number of participants.
Dr K K Sharma talked about the birth and family of Subhash Chandra Bose and influence of 2 women, his mother and his wife, on his life. He said, Netaji was also influenced by Swami Vivekanand and Aurobindo Ghosh. Netaji was a great scholar and prepared for ICS in England and cleared the exam with 4th rank. Netaji also aspired to be in defense but later resigned and started Azad Hind Fauj to become part of freedom movement. Netaji became youth icon, leader and made a separate league in congress to connect youth with the mission.
Dr Sharma also spoke about the inspirations and teachings of Netaji’s life. He shared the teachings by citing the letters of Netaji which he wrote to his mother. Work is worship, Character formation and gaining different degrees and studying should not be the final aim of one’s life were few teachings of Netaji which was highlighted by Dr Sharma.
He mentioned about NEP 2020 and talked about continuous learning and not restricting oneself to bookish knowledge. He said from Netaji, one can derive inspiration in terms of understanding the importance of planning our studies and having a timetable. He said Netaji in his letters talked about the importance of character and intelligentsia. With intelligentsia, one becomes creative and develops curiosity leading to innovation. In the end, he explained three teachings of Netaji- 1) learning from history 2) being creative and innovative 3) act as messiah of future. Netaji also promoted education for common people and movement of labors as it was happening in other parts of world.
