Amity organizes 15 Days Online Refresher Course

Amity Academic Staff College in association with Amity Institute of Forensic Sciences and Forensic Science Laboratory (Govt. of NCT of Delhi) are organizing the 15 Days Online Refresher Course on “Emerging Trends and Challenges in Interdisciplinary Research & Teaching in Science, Technology and Intellectual Property Rights”. The program will provide researchers, faculty, and scientists with information about the emerging trends and challenges in teaching and interdisciplinary research in science and technology. More than 300 participants are participating in the program.   

 

Ms. Deepa Verma, Director, Forensic Science Laboratory, Govt. of NCT of Delhi, India stated "at present, the knowledge of one subject is being used in another subject or research, so a disciplinary or multidisciplinary approach is necessary. Through this program, the experts will share their knowledge and provide an insight as to how to learn from different subjects. Every component is important when we are in the process of teaching. Increasing the knowledge of the teachers will help in increasing the knowledge of the students. No subject is complete without the knowledge of other subjects". For research and work in the field of forensics, biology, chemistry, physics, etc. interdisciplinary knowledge is needed which will help in improving the field. This course will definitely be beneficial for teachers, scientists and research scholars averred Ms. Verma. 

Prof. (Dr.) Sunita Rattan Professor & Dean, Science, and Technology, AUUP, Noida, India said, “solution of many global problems is not possible without joint research and effort in multidisciplinary research”. Future researchers need to have knowledge of other subjects along with their subjects. Amity always encourages scientists, researchers for interdisciplinary research and innovation so that problems of society can be solved. 

Sharing his thoughts, Dr. Amarnath Mishra Programme Director, Assistant Professor and Programme Leader, Amity Institute of Forensic Science said Technology is not just an electronic tool but is used for knowledge acquisition, research, innovation, and problem-solving in multiple disciplines. The multidisciplinary based approach in teaching is essential for all-round development of the students. He said that the objective of the 15-day online refresher course is to promote a multidisciplinary research perspective in various science subjects.
