ARUN KASHYAP
Discussed about how we can learn from past crisis, the covid 19 pandemic is new to human kind, but there has been many past crisis that has shaken the human foundation, though we have successfully overcome from those and we will be from this. There will be changes in the human behaviour and way of life . Life would be different from that of pre-covid. The post- covid challenges will be different from that of pre-covid, more focus should be on sanitation and hygiene security.
Need of social interaction cannot change, human are bound to interact and socialise and are bound to move- for work, for education, to meet friends and family. Though majority of the work could be done online like online business conference or online classes. But total stoppage on travel is not going to happen. During this pandemic, People would first focus on managing a bread and butter for themselves, other essential things and then comes the travel priorities.
We need to learn to live with the corona virus by making changes in the level of sanitation and hygiene. There would be wipes available for passengers to wipe of the seat occupied, using of sanitisers will be there, wearing masks would be mandatory for all. Until we don’t discover a vaccine or antidote, it is important to follow the hygiene norms.
GAURAV MISHRA
In today’s world, where COVID 19 is over powering the lifestyle of the people, the level of uncertainty and fear in environment is quite common, we do not have control on of the situation, neither we know when it will it be over. Travel and tourism will be back into operations with time. This virus will not vanish like magic, it will take time to go but we need to start thinking of the ways to live with this and start our business with new policies and strategies. In June, true picture will come in front of us, that helps us understanding the future trends of Travel and Tourism Industry fate.
Post covid, things would be different and every nation and organisation has to start from new, there would be new normal world around us. Eg middle seat in aircraft may not be utilised, Hotels/ airports sanitation would increase, Hygiene or sanitation will be the new security, Hygiene standards would be changed and are given high priority, wearing masks and gloves would be in norms to be practiced mandatorily. Online checking, minimum services, robots, apps to support for basic level of customer support would be launched and used extensively, flexible check-in to hotel and new flexible cancellation policies for hotel booking or travelling mode- flight and rail.
Things should start looking up in next 12-18 month period on to its full swing for Tourism, Hospitability and Aviation Industry
DEEPAK BAHL
Stated that it is good to know that we bounce back in 100-200 days to new normal business operations, if we go by the trends. There is no second though in the coming back of tourism industry in it full glory.
His hotel has offered the room to nurses and doctors.
Believes in “Vasudhaiva Kutumbakam’’, which is a Sanskrit phrase that means "the world is one family" and are eager to welcome the people from all spheres of world and are ready for the hospitality and care.
The projecting trends that says that many MNCs are planning to invest in India, by changing their base operations from other country due to the adverse matters of COVID. India need to pace up the production capacity and manufacturing units. The companies in India should start t gear up and look forward to increase in the business, should work upon it. The loses which we all have faced at this pandemic will be recovered by the future growth and development. India has potential and capacity to fetch the business and deliver the services efficiently.
“Poot kaput to kyun dhan sanchay poot sapoot to kyun dhan sanchay’’, is a hindi proverb that means Why bequeath wealth to an unworthy son/ Why bequeath wealth to a worthy son. This shows human behaviour of not saving money instead use the same for travelling and exploring new places.
Corona warriors are doing their task we can support directly or indirectly
GULDEEP SAHNI
Let us live in present instead of getting carried away by fears from the uncertainty and fear to lose. Excerpt from his own family crises, as Guldeep Sahni comes from family of Weldon Ink, that faced losses in the business with the introduction of ball pen. He didn’t stop himself from exploring the opportunities and started with a Travel and Tourism Business. He stated that Travel never going to stop as human is bound to travel and being mobile and socialise. Firstly, inbound tourism will start the business coming then it would be outbound in near future very soon. Hospitality, Tourism and Aviation is partners with one another, services and facilities give business to one another.
At the moment we are in survival stage soon we will be in revival stage. Past crisis has taught us not to get feared from the adverse situation and not to think that world has stopped. We will bound back with new beginning. Utilise this time to the optimum level by learning new things and spending quality time with your family. Also learn about countries which are less hit by the virus, how we can approach those countries in a way that they are not adversely affected and keep the business flowing.
There would be changes in the travel protocols for safety of travellers and employees with better sanitation and hygiene. Hotel and aviation industry will have to make changes in there policy structure like 24 hour check in service, flexible cancellation policy, special rates with certain conditions etc
