The New Normal Explored During Webinars at Amity University

A Lecture by Mr. Anurag Arora, Senior International Faculty with Art of Living, Ex Project Manager at Cadence was delivered on Topic “Unlocking your true potential”. The webinar session was organized by Amity Institute of Indian System ofMedical. According to Mr. Arora, teachers play very important role in the life of students and have some set responsibility towards them. “They should be like role model to the students. India is a country which has true potentialsin their roots,” shared Mr. Arora. He also mentioned that according to Shri Shri Ravi Shankar Ji, if you deepen your roots of potential than your vision broadens. “In today's world currently due to situation if you’re not updated with technology than you will always lack behind. Paradigm shift is taking place and it is expected to happen more. In coming times every place or sector will ask for hygiene, the concept of work from home and web education will continue,” added Mr. Arora. .
He also said that in our lives we learn about many things but we forget to learn about our self. Nobody teach us learning about our own self. Handling our self is linked with handling emotion which is very important. He also suggested that one can control or change ones emotions and thoughts with the help of yoga, meditation and prayanam and Sudarshan kriya.
A webinar on ‘Emerging Trends In The New World Of Work’ was conducted by Mr Arun Prasad Keshri, Vice President – HR, HSBC India. He shared how the world today is in pursuit of New Business Models and India, a youthful nation known for its innovative zeal can take the lead in providing a new work culture. The big impact of this pandemic is that “The New Normal” i.e. everything will be factory reset and is supposed to be a new beginning. The New Normal includes Adaptability; Efficiency; Opportunity; Inclusivity; Universalism.
Now employees, companies, citizens, institutions, societies have sampled the power of digital in last few weeks. Converting that into habit is the biggest opportunity for you. Therefore in this new normal, the triadic models of post pandemic management are Respond, Re-imagine, Recover; Respond, Resolve, Survival, Revival, Growth.
Mr. Keshri added that the seriousness and uncertainty has exposed the vulnerability of businesses like never before .Now is the time for organisations to review the efficacy of their business continuity plan. The primary step would be to identify mission critical operations and critical business functions. A formalised method is needed to separate the essential from thenon-essential functions that can be suspended during a major business disruption. He suggested 7 steps of resilience: Adapt; Look Around for Factual Information; Leverage online options; Prepare for next; Invest in Yourself; Use experts for mentoring; Lookway forward.
In a webinar on ‘How to Grow Through Uncertainty?’ Mr. Bhupendra Singh Rathore, CEO, Corporate Trainer and Business Coach - Breakthrough Learning Solutions shared that uncertain times will keep coming and will be part of life. “Every problem has a great possibility, every possibility has a great joy and every joy has a present moment. Even in this lockdown there is a great possibility of being at home and explore ourselves; cut out the travel time; time to connect with friends and family; flexibility to learn in the present moment,” shared Mr. Rathore.He also shared a powerful anti-virus for the mind. “Whenever there is problem, we can say how wonderful and things will look better. No matter what’s happening with you, but there’s worse happening in the world with others,” stated Mr. Rathore.
Mr Sandeep Santosham , CEO - Digital Nest took a webinar on ‘How to Leverage Business using Digital Marketing’, shared how digital has made a lot of difference in the previous and present times with lot of services being enabled in the online medium including tour and travel, ticket booking, mobile recharge etc are being conducted online and internet being the prime facilitator. He also shared how life cannot be imagined without internet now and no business can grow without digital marketing now. He also shared that digital marketing is a new age marketing that requires a website and also talked about search engine optimization.
