Three -day Annual Art Exhibition, “KREATIV ’24” commences at Amity

 Amity School of Fashion Technology (ASFT), Amity School of Fine Arts (ASFA) and Amity School Performing Arts (ASPA), Amity University Uttar Pradesh, have organized KREATIV ’24, an Annual Art Exhibition, from 13th – 15th March 2024.

KREATIV ‘24 is an “Annual Display of Artworks” by the students of Amity School of Fine Arts including Painting, Applied Art, Animation, Visual Communication Programme and Design Collection Presentation. The event has been organized with an aim to showcase the talent and original creative ideas of budding professionals of art and design field.  

Addressing the students during the Inaugural Session, Dr. Sanjeev Kishor Goutam, Director General, National Gallery of Modern Art, averred, “The varied art forms being showcased today depict the essence of art. Connecting one to one with students gives me the opportunity to engage with the youth of India. Indian art and culture is well-known all over the world and Indian epic, Ramayan teaches us how to live life, it also provides solutions to all the problems of the world. Artists play a major role in the development of the society and their artworks reflect the reality of the world, therefore they should be very mindful of what they want to depict through their artwork.” 

 

Encouraging the students, Mrs. Divya Chauhan, Chairperson, Amity School of Fine Arts and Amity School of Fashion Technology, stated, “Amity has always encouraged its students to showcase their talent and creativity in every field and the exhibition will provide them with the right platform to nurture their talent. The faculty and students have put their best efforts in organizing the exhibition and we are very excited to see the great creative artworks by the students of Amity.” 

 

Sharing her journey, eminent Italian Artist, Ms. Francesca Amalia Grimaldi, said, “Travelling around the world enriched me with great learning and experience and my artworks are inspired by different parts of the world. I am very passionate about Abstract art since it uses shapes, colours, forms and gestural marks to achieve its effect.” She called upon the students to listen to their heart and not to get distracted by the modern techniques of 21st century. She appreciated Amity students for their creativity and imagination and said that such exhibitions by amateurs and students are an eye-opener which provide immense exposure to the world of art and spread awareness about the various art forms.

 

Addressing the gathering, Prof. (Dr.) Balvinder Shukla, Vice Chancellor, Amity University Uttar Pradesh, said, “India is working towards the mission of Viksit Bharat@2047 and fine arts will play a major role in Viksit Bharat. The new emerging technologies and creativity will be a major contributor to industry 6.0, which also help in world development.”

 

Mrs. Renu Modi, Founder Director, Gallery Espace, New Delhi, opined, “Commitment and conviction is the key to achieve success in the world of art. My life has been very adventurous, and I have been fortunate to get my home designed by the great artist, M.F. Hussain, and his commitment and perseverance was commendable. Artists must be passionate and committed to their art and should not follow trends, instead they should live by what they believe in.”  

 

Dr. Pradeep Joshi, Group Additional Pro Vice Chancellor, Amity University, welcomed the guests during the Inaugural Session. During the three-day programme, more than 500 paintings, installations, Pop Art, Mural Art, Portraits, Abstract Art, Animation 2D, Brand Packaging Creativity, and Visual Animation Display by Undergraduate and Post Graduate Students of Amity School of Fine Arts, will be showcased. In addition, an Industry Seminar on the Theme, ‘Fashion industry in India- Changing Paradigms’, will also be held along with cultural performances by the students of Performing Arts.
