Entrepreneurship is not a job or a label, it is an art, a lifestyle. It is a sense of being and a willingness to help society and its people as a whole.
New technologies and a growing capacity for innovation are playing fundamental roles in solving societal problems as a whole. Cellium, the Entrepreneurship & Innovation Cell of Amity School of Economics, which comes under Institution’s Innovation Council (IIC) under Ministry of HRD is a platform that is tailor made to cater to the needs of aspiring entrepreneurs of the department and acknowledge the sense of innovation amongst its members.
Whether it be assistance in idea validation, making a business plan, incubation, or funding assistance etc., our vision has always been to uplift and enhance the ‘out-of-the-box’ factor in students.
Cellium has organised workshops on topics such as ‘Digital Marketing’, ‘How to make a Business Plan’, ‘Becoming an Entrepreneur’, panel discussions and many more. Along with these workshops, we have also organised competitions like ‘Reverse Pitching’, ‘Business Plan Competition’, ‘Entre-Puzzle’, ‘Quizzes on Startups’ etc. From Workshops, Bootcamps, Alumni Meets, & Panel Discussions, to Competitions and Quizzes, we have it all.
Our goal is to simply help generate the spark to give something back to society and imagination in students because we believe that if opportunity doesn’t knock, we should just build a door!

AIBS firmly believes that learning becomes more effective when students practically experience the situations that they could face in actual business settings, thus there is a strong focus on academics and extracurricular activities going hand in hand. All work and no play will make jack a dull boy and thus students at AIBS are encouraged to participate in the various functions were the onus of organizing the event and making the event a success is on the students. The activities include participation in the institutions annual festival i.e. INBUSH which gives them exposure to the corporate world, cultural fests, convocation, quizzes, sports, cultural activities, placement activities etc. Students, by participating in these activities, get an opportunity to showcase their talents and creativity thus fostering overall development of their personality. A close knit network of mentor and mentees exists at AIBS and it is under the guided efforts of the faculty mentors that the students engage in such activities and evolve from their chrysalis. Values constitute an important characteristic of self-concept and serve as supervisory principles for a person. In literature, it is documented that values are so indissolubly woven into human language, thought and behaviour patterns that they have fascinated philosophers for millennia.
Thus, it is safe to say that life without human values is like a ship without a radar. In order to instil humanistic values amongst its students, “Amity Human Values Quarter” is a cherished activity in the university that is celebrated every year to inculcate human values amongst the students along with academics, giving students and entire Amity fraternity an opportunity to introspect so that they get wholesome education and grow up into sensible adults, and rededicate themselves to the cause of the society.
During the quarter thousands of students from various departments/ institutions participate in different competitive events such as quiz, awareness campaigns, blood donation camps, short film making, photography competition, seminars, lectures, etc. Eminent personalities from various fields are invited to enlighten the students on human values and ethics.
Amity School of Economics promotes such development of the students by inculcating positive characters that create bonds of humanity among them. These human values have the effect of bonding, comforting, reassuring and procuring serenity. Few of the institutions supported by ASE are Sai Kripa Balkutir NGO,
The Annual Conference by Amity School of Economics is the outcome of ASE’s mission of fostering intellectual discussion and bringing together ideas for growth and development. The common theme of all the past conferences of Amity School of Economics have been centred around Sustainable Development Goals.
The idea of development has evolved itself and the world today has joined hands to set its goals and targets and achieve the same. Accordingly, Sustainable Development Goals (SDG’s) have been set wherein all the aspects of human development are taken care of. The SDG’s are specifically aimed to eliminate poverty and hunger, ensure good health and well-being, provide quality education to all, ensure gender equality, provide clean water and sanitation. Sustainable development will need to be inclusive and take special care of the needs of the poorest and most vulnerable.
Strategies need to be ambitious, action-oriented and collaborative, and adaptive to different levels of development as the future has arrived early and caught all of us unguarded and unprepared. As we look ahead, the future seems inexplicably uncertain and has humbled even those holding the most powerful positions, compelling us to reassess, rethink and realign our lives to the new world order as the world’s vision and commitment regarding sustainable development have been changing throughout the time.
In line with the above thinking, Amity School of Economics arranges National and International Conferences to provide a forum to academicians, research scholars, corporate leaders, business managers, management practitioners etc. to present and discuss ideas and come up with solutions to further growth and development.
Amity Youth Fest, popularly known as AYF is a major event for Amity University’s calendar year. Every year during February and March all roads lead to the AYF week which consists of everything from events to activities, quizzes to gameshows, competitions to carnivals and everything is capped off by the major performances by superstars gathered from round the globe. ASE not only keeps up with the standard but raises the bar with events that churn out participation not only across the country but also across the globe.
From quizzes to treasure hunts, ASE’s participation in AYF has endless possibilities alongside making sure our own students and participants learn something new under the domain of Economics from all aspects relating to us like core Economic Theories, Business Economics, Economic Models and so much more.
These activities teach our students how to balance studies along with extra curriculars which teaches them to be multitasking and life ready. Our objectives while organising the events are set to make sure we’re bringing a good learning experience for students;
The events organised are usually three-fold events, thus going on for 3 days and are best described as “Creatively Engaging Youth: With Students, For Students, By Students.”
Every competition and event in AYF gives students the opportunity to gain and showcase skills, build confidence, analyse and evaluate outcomes and uncover personal aptitude. It is also a great platform for students to develop their networking abilities as their interaction within Amity University and outside are increased. Students can choose to participate in the events of all departments with no barriers to entry, and they can choose to simply be the audience to events and artist performances which has now become a flagship of AYF.
It is evident to say that AYF is a festival for students of Amity University and ASE contributes to these festivities by organising intriguing events and providing a quality representation of the department and its students in other events.
AYF brings upon a new horizon for everyone in Amity. Every interest has an avenue for growth and recognition.

The unique Mentor-Mentee concept is an integral part of the Amity Education system which ensures a constant interaction between the faculty and the students. It is a program where the mentees are getting nurtured and cared for by mentors. At AUUP, the mentoring system is a four-tier model where all tier owners work in collaboration for the overall growth of the mentee. Under this system a faculty member is assigned to a group of students to counsel them on their academic and personal concerns. Their experience will help you gain the confidence and skills you need to be a corporate success.
At Amity the mentor-mentee bond has grown even deeper during this pandemic when the dynamics on both professional and personal front are changing. The work cultures are changing and there is more pressure on the education sector for training the students for the upcoming challenges. Amidst all this Mentor-Mentee emerges as the solution to many problems since the mentor is only a guide but a friend and philosopher as well. Through the mentoring system our dedicated faculty mentors caters to the students happiness and well-being. At Amity, mentors will always help you throughout your journey to success.
In addition to this the Amity counselling services have been set up where expert counsellors provide counselling to help students overcome their professional and personal problems.
