With an aim of developing Human Resources to meet the growing requirement of entrepreneurs and skilled professionals in the food processing sector, Amity University started various highly profession centric degree programmes in food technology and foods & nutrition. Amity Institute of Food Technology established in year 2006 is engaged in offering the following graduate and post graduate programmes:

Training partner FSSAI – FoSTaC certification
The Food Safety and Standards Authority of India (FSSAI) recently launched the Food Safety Training and Certification (FoSTaC) programme to ensure that food safety training programmes are delivered to the target audience to build up the capability of Food Safety Supervisors of Food Business Operators across the country. FoSTaC aim is to create awareness by Training and Capacity Building of food handlers, operators (FBO) all over India. Among training partners, identified all over India, AIFT is proud to be one.

CAREER PROSPECTS
Food Technology professionals, after graduation, are qualified to be entrepreneurs and to man various positions of responsibility in Food Processing Industries as Supervisors, Assistant Managers, Production Managers, Food Packaging Manager, R & D personnel, Food Scientist, Food Development Manager, Quality Control Officers, Sensory Scientist, Food Safety Auditors, Food Stylists, Marketing / Sales to name a few.
The Nutrition Graduands are trained as Dieticians and Nutritionists in hospitals, schools, health care centers and food processing industry. The nutrition graduands could also opt to be entrepreneurs or could join as Food Development Manager, Quality Control Officers, Sensory Scientist, Food Safety Auditors, Food Stylists, food policy makers etc.
