CogLab, a cognitive laboratory was established at Amity Institute of Behavior and Allied Sciences, Amity University Mumbai on 7th February 2024. This significant milestone was celebrated with great enthusiasm, highlighting the dedication and hard work of all involved. Coordinated by the Directorate of Student Welfare (DSW), the Internal Quality Assurance Cell (IQAC), and AmiPsych, the event aimed to honor the establishment of CogLab and extend gratitude to our esteemed Vice Chancellor, Prof (Dr). A.W. Santhosh Kumar Sir and Head of Institute Dr. Gautam Gawali Sir for their invaluable dedication for establishment of the laboratory.
CogLab, that it is an interdisciplinary space for various fields within psychology as well as outside psychology. He shared that two CogLab have been constructed with 12 cubicles each, students from various schools of Amity can partake in this space.
The CogLabs can also be used as a space for counseling, which would aid in maintaining the privacy and confidentiality of the client better.
Psychology itself is a very new yet vast field, this laboratory would help the department to integrate psychopharmacology, neuropsychology, forensic psychology and areas like cyber security, he aims to enhance and enrich the exposure to various fields.
