Guidance and Counseling is an integral component of the educational mission of the Amity School. It aims at promoting the personal/social, educational, and career development of all students. It includes planned need based programs, that result in development in terms of knowledge, skills, and attitude of student.

The Guidance and Counseling cell also assists students in learning difficulties, behavioral development and adjustment problems.

The Life skills modules helps in imparting interpersonal skills that empower students to interact with the self as well as others and develop healthy lifestyle and responsible behavior. It aims to focus on acquisition of authentic knowledge, development of positive attitude, and empowerment for avoidance of risky behavior.

Regular counseling and workshops are organized to help students deal with stress, anxiety, peer pressure and conflict management.

Besides providing information on different subjects and streams, the school also provides adequate career information, so that the students feel empowered to take their own decision while selecting a career.

To ensure holistic development, eminent speakers from various institutes are invited to interact with the students and their parents.

Necessary intervention and opportunities are provided to students who require specific planning and special education.

Due to changing societal norms, changing family structure, heightened expectations, higher commitments and the global exposure, parents do feel debilitated and helpless. Regular interaction and guidance is provided to them to bridge the gap and facilitate healthy parenting.

Keeping in mind the individual needs of children, special attention is given to those with special needs eg Dyslexia, ADHD and others. Regular behaviour and academic modification plans are implemented to help the students reach their optimum potential level.
