Faculty Development Programmes (FDP) at Amity University Kolkata aim to enhance the professional capabilities and competencies of our faculty members. These are carefully designed to update our teachers on the latest teaching methodologies, research techniques, technological advancements, and academic leadership skills.
Amity Institute of Applied Sciences recently hosted a Five-Day Online FDP titled “Exploring the Frontiers in Science and Technology”.
Day 1: Prof. Sujata Tarafdar’s discussion on fractals and Dr Debajit Goswami’s discussion on biophysics
Day 2: Prof. Sourabh Roy's discussion on fibre optics and AI sensors, and Prof. Muktish Acharyya's discussion on phase transitions
Day 3: Dr Sanatan Chattopadhyay's discussion on quantum dots and Dr Sourav Bhattacharya's introduction to quantum field theory and cosmology
Day 4: Dr Sabyasachi Mukhopadhyay’s discussion on molecular junctions, and Dr Subhadip Sau’s discussion on black hole physics along with mathematical training
Day 5: Dr Tapati Dutta’s discussion on crack patterns and Dr Abhishek Chaudhuri’s discussion on computational fluid flow
The event concluded with a valedictory session by Dr Soumya Dasgupta and Prof. Dr Sanjay Kumar, highlighting the event's outcome, success and plans.
