The Amity Foundation, a non-profit organisation, founded the tenth university campus, Amity University in Kolkata. It has developed into a worldwide centre of knowledge that supports a group of talented students committed to changing the world together. Amity University Kolkata is a multidisciplinary institution that provides courses for undergraduate, and graduate students and supports top-notch research for doctorate degrees. We collaborate with world-class universities on several courses to offer our students exposure to worldwide research and opportunities. The Amity Education Group is working towards putting this institution on India's education map.
Amity University Kolkata was founded under the West Bengal Act, XXIV of 2014 which was passed by the Legislative Assembly of the Govt. of West Bengal in 2014. The Amity University Act, 2014 was published in the Kolkata Gazette on 21.1.2015 vide the Law Department Notification No. 83L dated 21.1.2015.
