Recognition and Achievements in Space Science and Technology

  1. Amity University conferred with Certificate of Appreciation by ISpA- Indian Space Association during the inaugural session of the Indian DefSpace Symposium 2026 held at the Manekshaw Centre on April 23, 2026. The award was received by Vice Chancellor Prof (Dr) Balvinder Shukla in the presence of eminent leaders from the space and defence ecosystem.

On the occasion of the Indian DefSpace Symposium 2026, the Technical Report for the India International Space Conclave 2025 meticulously prepared by Amity University was also formally released in the august presence of Dr. Samir V. Kamat, Secretory DD(R&D) and Chairman DRDO, Air Chief Marshal R.K.S. Bhadauria, PVSM,AVSM,VM (Retd), Former chief of Air Staff, Lt Gen Zubin A.     1. During the Closing Session, Dr W Selvamurthy, President, Amity Science Technology Innovation Foundation and Chancellor, Amity University Chhattisgarh delivered his remarks.

  4. ISpA Industry Award 2025 at India International Space Conclave (IISC) 2025: Amity University was honoured with the award for ‘Academic Excellence in Space Education and Research’.
  5. Distinguished Knowledge Partner of the Indian Space Association.
  6. Amity Institute of Space Science and Technology, Amity University Noida, has been officially recognized as a Registered Space Tutor of ISRO in November 2025.
  7. Students of Amity International School, Noida have achieved significant international recognition by winning the International Space Settlement Design Competition (ISSDC) for the third time, marking a record five consecutive wins at NASA’s prestigious space design competition. The award-winning project, “Balderol – Vulture Aviation,” is focused on the design of a sustainable human lunar settlement near the Moon’s North Pole, addressing real-world challenges associated with long-term human habitation beyond Earth.

Amity University’s AI-powered ‘CycloneVision’, developed during Smart India Hackathon, gets integrated with ISRO’s technology and celebrated by Hon’ble Prime Minister Shri Narendrla Modi Ji at Smart India Hackathon 2024! This innovative solution harnesses INSAT-3D satellite imagery to provide rapid, objective, and consistent analysis of tropical cyclones, enhancing disaster preparedness and response in the Indian Ocean region.

Release of the Technical Report for the “Indian DefSpace Symposium 2025” organised by ISpA, meticulously prepared by Amity University, during the Inaugural Session of India International Space Conclave 2025 in the august presence of Dr Jitendra Singh Ji, Hon’ble Minister of State, along with Dr. Pawan Goenka, Chairman, IN-SPACe, Mr. Takashi ARIYOSHI, Embassy of Japan; Air Chief Marshal V.R. Chaudhari PVSM, AVSM, VM, ADC (Retd.), Indian Air Force; H.E. Antonio Bartoli, Ambassador of Italy to India; Mr. A.T.   10. During the Indian DefSpace Symposium held on 7th -9th April 2024 organised by ISpA, The technical Report of “ISpA-Indian Space Conclave 2024” was released. The Report has been prepared by Amity University as Knowledge Partner.
  11. During the Indian Space Conclave 3.0 held from 5th to 7th November 2024, the technical report prepared by the Amity University for the ‘Indian DefSpace Symposium 2024’ was launched, marking a significant contribution by the university to India’s space and defense ecosystem.
