ESG and BFSI Sector-Challenges and Opportunities

Amity School of Insurance, Banking and Actuarial Science, Amity University Uttar Pradesh successfully organised its National Seminar on “ESG and BFSI Sector-Challenges and Opportunities”, on Thursday 15 February 2024 from 10:00 am to 4:30 pm at the Noida Campus. The seminar was sponsored by LIC, SIDBI and IIFCL. The Seminar was attended by 100 industry delegates and 280 student delegates.

Mr. A. P. Singh, Director, ASIBAS, Mr. Baldev Prakash, MD & CEO, Jammu & Kashmir Bank, chief guest at the event, Mr. Vivek Jalan, Managing Partner, Willis Towers Watson and Mr. Pankaj Tomar, India Head, AXA Climate, the Guests of Honor and Prof. (Dr.) Gurinder Singh, Group Vice Chancellor, Amity University addressed the students in the inaugural session.

The seminar had two technical panel discussions titled, “ESG – Roadmap for Insurers" and “Sustainable Finance and MSME”. The plenary speakers for the second technical session “Sustainable Finance and MSME” that graced the event were, Mr. Manish Sinha, General Manager, SIDBI (Moderator), Mr. Samrat Ray, Energy Specialist, Asian Development Bank, Mr. Gaurav Lal, Business Head, Tata Cleantech and Mr. Rajan Agarwal, Corporate Senior Director – Technology, EbixCash Ltd.
