When does the admission start in Amity University for PG and UG program and how does one apply?

The admission process for PG and UG programs commences from January and March respectively. Application form is available on payment of Rs.1,500. To apply one may Apply Online, Upload documents, Pay online using Debit/credit cards/Paytm wallet/netbanking.

What documents are required along with the Application form and within how many days a form gets processed?

Only a scanned copy of class 10th mark-sheet and a recent color passport size photograph is required to be uploaded along with the Application Form. Confirmation about receipt of your form is to be checked on Admission Microsite. It normally takes 3-5 working days to process the form.

What is Admission Microsite and how is the Registration / Interview / Selection status communicated to the candidates?

Admission microsite is an online portal at amity.edu/Mohali. An applicant can check his/her Registration/Selection status by logging into his/ her Admission Microsite with the application form number and the password at regular intervals for all admission related information. No separate communication is send in this regard.

Can a student apply for UG/PG program in absence of 10+2/Graduation final year result?

Yes, a student may apply provisionally for any course but needs to produce all the original mark sheets/ degrees at the time of Registration. However, all program aspirants, 30th October is the last date for submission of original marksheet.

How many application forms one can fill while applying to various programs at Amity University?

An applicant can apply to as many programs in Amity as desired but cannot apply for the same program more than once in one admission year.

What are the grounds on which a form can be rejected and is the form fee refundable or not?

Incorrectly filled and incomplete forms are rejected. Form once rejected will not be reconsidered and form cost will not be refunded for any reason whatsoever.

What is the selection criterion of Amity University?

What is the selection criterion of Amity University?

Usually the selection procedure comprises of English language test followed by GD / Extempore / Personal interview. Program based written test/creative/physical test is conducted wherever necessary.

Due to COVID 19 pandemic, Admission selection process has been modified. For the time being Selection Process is based on video responses to the questions posted through the VIDEO LINK available on Admission Microsite.

How will I get the intimation of admission after qualifying the selection process?

The results are intimated to the students through Admission Microsite. A soft copy of the admission letter is uploaded online and no hard copy is issued. Hence a student is advised to check the contents of Admission Microsite at regular intervals.

What system of education is followed at Amity University?

Amity University follows semester system which is in conformity with the global practices and standards. Students are required to maintain minimum SGPA (Semester Grade Point Average) & CGPA (Cumulative Grade Point average) to get promoted to the next semester and qualify for Degree/Diploma.

What is the attendance requirement and when is the attendance calculated from?

A minimum of 75% attendance is required to appear in the examinations. Attendance of a student is calculated from the date of commencement of program or date of fee payment (whichever is later).

What are the fee payment options available after selection?

You may make the payment as per following options:

Option-I : Online Payment using Debit Card / Credit Card / Net banking / PaytmWallet through link available on admission microsite.

Option-II : At any Axis Bank branch in India by way of Pay Order / Demand Draft / Cash (PAN number required).

Option-III : Fee can be deposited through NEFT/RTGS (No IMPS) from any bank, the challan for NEFT/RTGS with University bank details is available on your admission microsite. Please follow the details/amount/instructions strictly as mentioned in challan.

(Only Option 1 is applicable during lockdown/pandemic period)

What if one fails to deposit the fee as per the last date mentioned on the admission letter?

If you are not able to pay the fees within the specified date due to some valid reason, you are required to approach the Admission Office. Depending upon the availability of seats and decision of Admission Committee, further extension of date may be considered.

What is AMIZONE and in how many days the AMIZONE is updated at admission website after the fee payment?

AMIZONE is an intranet zone, student portal of Amity University. It help students in accessing a wide array of academic domains like online session plans for the entire semester, time table, attendance, syllabus, course materials etc. Amizone is updated on Admission Microsite within 48-72 working hours of fee payment.

What are the Amity Scholarship (Academic/Sports) schemes?

Amity Scholarships are instituted to help those who are brilliant in academics and deserve world class education but don’t have the required means. Diverse Scholarships offered at Amity are:

What is Amity advantage scheme?

10% fee concession is offered to Amity students, who continue their higher education at Amity University with a maximum gap of two years.

  • * This concession will be given after verification of last completed mark sheet / degree by Admission Department.
  • * Documentary proof may be sent through mail to admissions@pb.amity.edu during prevailing situation.
  • * Concession will get incorporated in the fee bill to deposit the fee through the links available on admission microsite post verification.
Does Amity University offer assistance in availing Education Loan?

What is Study Abroad Program (SAP) offered by Amity?

SAP stands for Study Abroad Program. It has been designed to provide excellent opportunity to students of Amity so as to gain international exposure and open up their horizon to ocean of opportunities. It is conducted at the Amity International campuses (Dubai, Singapore, London, Mauritius).

What is the on campus placement criterion of the University?

Amity assures 100% placement assistance. In order to be eligible for the recruitment process, every student is required to achieve a minimum of 6 on a 10 point scale.

What are the withdrawal guidelines for the Academics?

Refund is as per following Amity University refund guidelines. Application for withdrawal from the program is to be submitted through Amizone (www.amizone.net ). No other mode of request will be considered.

If a student withdraws his/her admission up to 15 days before the commencement of the academic session, the student will receive a refund of 100% of the semester fees and the Security Deposit after deduction of an amount not more than 5% of the fees (subject to a maximum of Rs.5000.00) as processing charges.

If a student withdraws his/her admission less than 15 days prior to the commencement of the academic session, the student will receive a refund of 90% of the semester fees and the Security Deposit.

If a student withdraws his/her admission up to 15 days post the commencement of the academic session, the student will receive a refund of 80% of the semester fees and the Security Deposit.

If a student withdraws his/her admission between 16-30 days post the commencement of the academic session, the student will receive a refund of 50% of the semester fees and the Security Deposit.

If a student withdraws his/her admission on or post 30 days of commencement of the academic session, none of the semester fees will be refunded except for the Security Deposit.

Scholarship case: If a student who is offered Amity scholarship decides to withdraw, he / she will be treated as a non-scholarship student and the withdrawal guidelines as given above will be applicable.

100% Scholarship case: Security deposit will be forfeited in case a student applies for withdrawal after registration / reporting for the program.
