Pharmacy is an integral part of the healthcare system worldwide, ensuring the provision of quality medical services to patients.
Pharmacists are amongst the third largest healthcare professionals in the world, and the pharmacy profession has been evolving steadily over the last decade in India due to tremendous changes in its practice, emerging trends, and professional approach. There is an increase in the demand for pharmacists due to advancements in science and technology, industrialization, and an increase in patient needs. Today, pharmacists have expanded their role from dispensing to pharmaceutical care by maximizing the benefits of medications and providing relief to patients.
Recognizing the importance of the pharmacy profession and the increasing demand for pharmacists, Amity Institute of Pharmacy (AIP), Lucknow Campus, was founded in 2007 to provide B. Pharm, M. Pharm. in Pharmaceutics, Pharmacology, PharmD (Doctor of Pharmacy), and PhD programs, with a focus on training students in a wide range of aspects of the drug and pharmaceutical industries, research and development, academic, and the healthcare system, while keeping in mind the ever-changing global environment. The AIP’s courses are approved by the Pharmacy Council of India.
Amity Institute of Pharmacy is a Centre of Excellence in Pharmacy Education and Research, where we provide a conducive atmosphere for the students for a synergetic impact of education and research. The Institute has cutting-edge laboratories, sophisticated instruments and equipment, experienced faculty, excellent futuristic infrastructure, a well-stocked library, and amphitheatre-style classrooms with integrated audio-visual teaching aids.
The curriculum for B.Pharm. and M.Pharm. programmes is designed in collaboration with top pharmaceutical companies, experts, and research organisations. AIP’s interdisciplinary career programmes train the next generation of leaders in the health industry, drug manufacturing, and research.
Through industry-academia initiatives and collaborative research, AIP has established strong linkages with national laboratories and industries. AIP holds the record of having 100% student placements. Our students and faculty are regularly exposed and in sync with the recent trends and advancements in the field of drug manufacturing and research.
In addition to academics, AIP ensures the all-round development of students through their involvement in various cultural, sports, and co-curricular activities. Students also take part in a seven-day compulsory Military Training Camp under the Personality Enhancement Module at Amity University.
