Guest Lecture on Exploring TV Advertisements from a Pedagogical Perspective

The choice of language to convey specific messages with the intention of influencing people can be fruitful through advertisements. English Language has a powerful influence in attracting customers and in learning cross cultural nuances of the myriads of people across the globe. The lecture facilitated the learners to discriminate between Standard English and the use English language in advertisements as well.To meet the means of these challenges ASL organized a lecture for the students of UG/PG/PhD. The same was delivered by Dr. Sanjay Arora, Associate Professor, Central University of Rajasthan

 Objectives of the Event:-

a.     To create, enhance and glorify English as a medium for Unique selling Proposition.

b.     To understand the framework of advertisements in terms of teaching schemes and teaching tropes.

c.      To explore English language as a tool for creative and content writing in making attractive advertisements.

d.     To recognize the importance of advertisements in teaching different aspects of English Language.

e.      Help the students and faculties know about advertisements in understanding dynamic teaching and learning conditions.

f.       To comprehend the cohesive devices in English Language through Advertisements.

g.     To teach literary theory, Cultural transformations through Advertisements.
