Amity University Madhya Pradesh celebrated its 14th Raising Day

Amity University Madhya Pradesh, Gwalior, celebrated its fourteenth Raising Day with great enthusiasm on 19th  September 2024 in hybrid mode, hosting a gala ceremony in the Auditorium, Block-B that was live-streamed on the Zoom platform. The event was honoured by the esteemed presence of Hon'ble Chancellor & Chairman of Amity University Madhya Pradesh Dr. Aseem Chauhan, Additional President of Ritnand Balved Education Foundation,  who joined the ceremony virtually, alongside other senior functionaries from the Foundation and Vice Chancellors from various Amity Universities across the globe.

The event was presided over by Lt. Gen. V. K. Sharma, Ati Vishisht Seva Medal, Hon'ble Pro Chancellor and Senior Vice President of Ritnand Balved Education Foundation, AUMP. Present were the Officiating Vice Chancellor, Prof. (Dr.) R. S. Tomar, Pro Vice Chancellor (Research), Prof. (Dr.) M. P. Kaushik, and other distinguished members of the University, including the Registrar, Deans, Heads of Institutions, Heads of Departments, faculty, staff, and students.

The ceremony commenced with the auspicious Lighting of the Lamp to  invoke the blessings of Goddess Saraswati, followed by an inspiring address by the Hon'ble Pro Chancellor. In his speech, Lt. Gen. Sharma reflected upon the remarkable growth of the University since its inception in 2011 and provided an overview of its significant achievements in academics, research, co-curricular activities, sports, and cultural endeavours over the past years. He encouraged the students to excel, particularly in the realm of research, and emphasized the University's notable successes in student placements, start-ups, and faculty dedication.
To recognize outstanding student accomplishments, certificates of academic excellence were awarded to the top performers of the academic year 2023-2024. The first issue of the E-newsletter "AmiEnviorn," of the Environmental Science department, and the University newsletter "The Amitian" were also unveiled by the dignitaries. Following this, the Amity YouTube Channel, "The Amitian: Apki Apni Awaaz," was launched, and an Investiture Ceremony for the NCC Cadets was held in recognition of their achievements.
The celebrations continued with a captivating cultural program that started with Stuti and continued with Riturang, where students from various departments showcased the six seasons of India.  This was followed by a musical performance by the 'Amiband.' The impressive display of talent and creativity captivated the audience.
In his concluding remarks, Honble Chancellor Dr. Aseem Chauhan expressed his admiration for the cultural performances, commending the students for their exceptional talents. He spoke of the bright future awaiting each Amitian. Honble Chancellor  encouraged the students to embrace the vast opportunities presented by technological advancements, entrepreneurship, and innovation, urging them to contribute to a better world. He also expressed his faith in the leadership of Lt. Gen. V. K. Sharma, Pro Chancellor of AUMP, Dr RS Tomar and Dr MP Kaushik.
The ceremony concluded with remarks from Prof. (Dr.) R. S. Tomar, Officiating Vice Chancellor, followed by a vote of thanks delivered by Prof. (Dr.) M. P. Kaushik, Pro Vice Chancellor (Research).
The day was a memorable celebration of the University's accomplishments, a tribute to its legacy, and a commitment to future excellence.
