On 6th Feb 2025, a team from Department of Electronics & Communication Engineering, ASET, AUMP, Gwalior led by Prof. (Dr.) Raghvendra Sharma, Dr. Shally Goyal, Dr. Rinkoo Bhatia, Dr. Ajay Dadoria, visited Ramakrishna Mission Ashrama, Sharada Balgram - Student Home, Gwalior to extend their support to the under privileged students. The team handed over Blankets to Swami Bramha Yoganand Ji, Maharaj of Sharda Balgram.
The Ramakrishna Mission Ashrama, Gwalior, began in a humble way and was registered in 1959. The Central Office Building was inaugurated by Late Shri Sarvapalli Radhakrishnan, then President of India, on 11th December 1964 as an NGO. They serve society through formal school education from Play Group up to class XII. They have two schools: Ramakrishna Mission (CBSE) and Ramakrishna Mission (MPBSE). Other initiatives include Sharada Balgram - Student Home (for underprivileged students), Rakhal Gaushala - Animal Husbandry, Dairy-Based Skill Development Unit, Hydroponic Unit, Swami Vivekananda Ayush Dispensary, Roshni Ramakrishna Mission Ashrama (Rehabilitation Center for Cerebral Palsy children), Sharada Naad Mandir Sangeet Mahavidyalaya, Swami Vivekananda Public Library, Organic Farming, Climate Change, Environment & Sustainability, and Plantation.
This initiative is part of ASET’s ongoing commitment to social responsibility and community welfare under the directions of Hon'ble Pro Chancellor Sir and Hon'ble Vice Chancellor Sir. Such efforts are reflection of ASET/AUMP's shared values and dedication to making a positive impact in the lives of those who need it the most.
