(i)             Introduction (250-300 words): 
The Amity School of Architecture & Planning was honoured to host a distinguished session titled:
“Crafting Business Opportunities Around Cultural Products: Entrepreneurship Opportunities - A Study of Gond Tribal Art at Anuppur (M.P.)”
 
This session highlighted the transformative potential of cultural entrepreneurship, focusing on Gond tribal art—a vibrant and intricate art form deeply rooted in the traditions of the Gond community of Madhya Pradesh. The lecture was delivered by Ms. Apoorva and Mr. Achyut, co-founders of Loksutr, a social enterprise dedicated to empowering indigenous artisans by connecting traditional craftsmanship with contemporary markets.
 
The speakers took the audience on a journey through their work in Anuppur, Madhya Pradesh, where they collaborated with Gond artisans to preserve and promote this unique art form. By blending traditional knowledge with modern entrepreneurial strategies, they have developed sustainable business models that not only honor cultural heritage but also create meaningful livelihood opportunities for the artisans.
Through this session, participants will gain insights into how traditional art can transcend its cultural roots to become a globally recognized product. Ms. Apoorva and Mr. Achyut shared their experiences of navigating challenges such as limited market access, lack of awareness about tribal art, and the complexities of balancing cultural preservation with innovation.
 
This lecture aimed to inspire students, professionals, and enthusiasts by demonstrating how cultural products can contribute to sustainable development. It seeks to ignite a dialogue on the importance of preserving indigenous art while empowering local communities.
By attending, participants learnt about the history and significance of Gond tribal art, the potential it holds for entrepreneurial ventures, and the strategies needed to promote such art forms in today’s competitive markets. Aims/Objective(s) (100 Words):
The key aim of this seminar was to inculcate entrepreneurship skills in students and academicians irrespective of their line of studies. Through this program the presenters explained the basic skills needed to start a new firm or a new startup, the essential elements that are needed for the growth of the startup. 
These major skills are – 
Understanding Cultural Products: To provide an in-depth understanding of Gond tribal art, its history, and its cultural relevance.
Exploring Entrepreneurship: To identify potential business opportunities that leverage traditional art forms.
Empowering Artisans: To discuss strategies for empowering local artisans through skill development, branding, and market linkage.
Sustainable Development: To highlight the role of cultural entrepreneurship in preserving heritage while fostering economic growth.
