General Introduction of the Event
Amity School of Communication at Amity University in Madhya Pradesh organized an industrial visit to the Gwalior Smart City ITMS and ICC Control room offices where students learned about the communication strategies and administrative functions of the Smart City. A thorough understanding of the project's communication management and its groundwork was provided to the students during the visit.
As part of the visit, students had the opportunity to interact with Neetu Mathur, IAS, CEO of Smart City Gwalior. Neetu Mathur discussed the benefits of communication strategies, challenges of smart city projects, and the implementation of smart cities projects in detail.
During the interaction session, madam Mathur, guided the students and discussed the workings of Smart City Gwalior. Additionally, she offered internship opportunities to students so they could gain practical experience in this field and better understand the ground reality of Smart City projects and implement communication strategies more efficiently in the future.
Prof. Dr. Pankaj Mishra, (ASET) Dr. Manish Dubey, Dr. Pranav Mishra and Ms. Tulika from Amity School of Communication accompanied the students.

Key Outcomes
· Students gained knowledge of the technical framework of the Smart City, the various dimensions of urban development projects, and citizen participation in urban development activities.
· A visit to the site proved to be a unique experience for the students, since they gained practical experience in communication management and urban development, as well as an understanding of administrative duties.
