Workshop on Artistry in color- Sculpture and Minakari

Amity School of Fashion Design & Technology (ASFDT), AUMP, organized a two day’s workshop on ‘Artistry in Color- Sculpture & Minakari’ from 25th September to 26th September 2024 from 09:15 am to 11:15 pm. The event coordinator was Mrs Madhavi Tomar, Asst.professor, ASFDT.

The workshop commenced with an introduction to our expert, Mrs. Nupur Shrivastava, a Fevicryl Instructor. The motivation behind conducting workshops on Sculpture and Minakari was to enhance skills, connect with cultural traditions, and foster a sense of community. This initiative stems from a desire to explore and express creativity through hands-on training.
During the two-day workshop, Mrs. Nupur Shrivastava guided the students through the processes of Sculpture and Minakari. On the first day, she focused on sculpture, teaching students how to create an antique golden tree-shaped sculpture using materials such as wire, Fevicryl Moldit, acrylic paints, and 3D outliners. On the second day, she introduced Minakari, where students created freehand designs on MDF boards using 3D outliners and filled them with Fevicryl glass colors, complemented by lilac acrylic paint.
The workshop proved to be a memorable experience for the students, as they learned to use Moldit to craft aesthetically appealing articles. They were given the opportunity to create beautiful sculptures and Minakari art using various Fevicryl products. By translating their imagination and thoughts into tangible pieces of art, the students were able to explore and express their individual creative ideas. Overall, the experience served as a valuable platform for developing new skills and gaining a deeper understanding of art.
A total of 30 students participated in the workshop, enthusiastically creating beautiful articles. The workshop not only enhanced the creativity of these young minds but also provided them with significant exposure to various art forms.
