Policies and governance are related to the planning, of implementing, and managing of laws and behaviors to achieve a desired outcome.

Governance can impact well-being in several ways, including the Policy options such as Governments can use policy options to promote well-being, such as allocating budgets and responding to challenges. Urban governance such as Good urban governance can promote policies that improve health and well-being. Bad urban governance can harm societies by failing to address social and environmental determinants. Welfare expenditures, such as countries that expand their welfare states, tend to see increases in average life satisfaction. Ease of access like How easy it is for citizens to access government expenditures can impact well-being and last but not least is Participatory governance. Amity University has several initiatives to support the well-being of its local community students and staff.
