These courses are augmented by rigorous training, broad and elaborated discussions as well as hands-on experience across various industries. While strengthening their technical skills, we motivate students to produce original work. They write scripts and screenplays for films, documentaries and news bulletins and subsequently produce and direct them.
The institute also has state-of-the-art infrastructure for print and broadcast production, including modern labs, studios, reading rooms, tutorial rooms, latest software, camera and production equipment and so on. Faculty makes students and develop an ability to think and work like a TV news anchor, bulletin producer, script writer and narrator or a radio jockey. Our students regularly get involved with news reporting, on & off-campus, which hone their analytical and creative skills.
ASCO aims to train and transform students for versatile media industry by instilling in them required skills, critical analysis and approach. Students remain engrossed in a professional environment during the academic session so that they learn to operate and experience the work culture of media industry. Teaching and learning at ASCO is a blend of workshops, mock-newsroom activities, audio-video shoots, film screening and analysis, industry visits, advocacy programmes, declamation, training on production of bulletins and newspapers as well as regular field trips.
