Amity University Haryana, Gurugram situated close to Aravali Hills, provides an experience of living in the lap of nature. Ami-fest – The Annual Management Fest

Amifest is an international, inter-university-institutional cultural-cum-literary festival.

At Amifest as many as students from various universities and institutions participate each year in different cultural and literary events.

Events at Amifest include B-Plan competition, Business Quiz, dumb charades, face painting, fashion show, folk and western dances, solo and duet singing, one-act plays, fusion music, poetry etc.

Industrial Visits

The industrial visit has significant importance in overall teaching-learning stream in business management. The institution gives first-hand exposure to the students to work spheres like R&D laboratories, software industries, manufacturing facilities, inventory holding areas, retail outlets and points of sales. Students thereby develop a perspective on various practicalities of professions by organizing multiple industry visits during the course of the stay of a student.

Live Projects

Live projects provide a unique opportunity for students to work on real issues and problem in the industry and provide a feasible solution to the industry. ABS students have done live projects in Nestle, Harley Davidson, Securitas India Ltd etc. Students take up cases to understand the dynamic and vibrant situation in the contemporary economy and brainstorm to think feasible and practical solutions to resolve issues. Such experiences help students in the long run as well as their workplaces.

Extensive Industry Interaction

Regular industry interaction forms an integral part of the academic curriculum as it helps the students to not only get industrial exposure but also a chance to understand the global business practices and latest emerging trends in the industry.

Interactions with industry leaders, top professionals, entrepreneurs, policymakers and global gurus help students immensely in career development, enhancing leadership qualities, management skills and making them aware of actual industry functioning.

Further, to create a forum for discussions, knowledge and idea-sharing with the corporate world, Amity offers diverse opportunities for students to interact with heads of industries through CEO Forums, CEO Dinner Series, Corporate Connect Every Week, Corporate Mentoring Programmes and numerous Seminars and Conferences.


Corporate Connect Series

It is a constant endeavour to have a close interaction with the professionals from the corporate world.

As a part of this exercise, executives from the industry are invited every week to share their valuable experiences with the students to make them abreast of the latest trends in the industry.


Management Club

At ABS, academic as well as extracurricular learning go beyond the conventional methods. Formation of clubs in the specialization of HR, Marketing and finance aim to equip the budding managers with people's skills through role-plays, psychometric tests and workshops. The clubs have been instrumental in bringing its students closer to the successful professionals by organizing various events in association with all the leading industry bodies, like CII, FICCI, ASSOCHAM and also with management bodies like AIMA, GMA, HRD network.

E-Cell

The Entrepreneurship Development Cell (E-Cell) at the institution is actively involved in creating an ecosystem of entrepreneurship and start-ups in the campus by providing various opportunities to students to interact with entrepreneurs under the series of ‘Friday Fortnight – Real Entrepreneurs, Real Stories’. The Cell is also involved in organizing Entrepreneurship Awareness Camps and also providing support to the students’ venture through Amity Incubation Centre.

Sports Meet – Sangathan

Sangathan is an annual mega sports event of the Amity, where students from all campuses of Amity participate in various sports events. Students compete in 35 different sports and games, including badminton, squash, basketball, volleyball, cricket, chess, and tug of war, to clinch the much-coveted trophies. Participation in various sports events inculcate attributes of team spirit, teamwork, teach the value of sportsmanship and promote camaraderie and rapport among students.

CEO – Dinner Series

Students of Amity Business School have interacted with more than 100 CEOs through CEO Dinner Series, CEO Forums and guest lectures. Amity has organized or been an academic partner to over 300 seminars. Amity is the only institution to have helped invite over 50 leading Management Gurus, these include Thomas J. Peters, an American writer on business management practices and author of the bestseller ‘In Search of Excellence in 1982’; Kenichi Ohmae, Japanese management consultant, Former Professor and Dean of UCLA- Luskin School of Public Affairs.

Distinguished Indian Global Speaker Series

The series is instituted to honour distinguished Indian professionals who have achieved unique milestones in their professional career and have made the country proud.

This series paves the way for global learning from distinguished faculties all around the world, understanding the best practices being followed worldwide in teaching, research and academia.

This series has resulted in helping students & faculties understand concepts with different perspectives, broaden their horizons, inculcating a sense to excel in their fields and rise at global platforms.

Leadership cum Military Training

Every year a compulsory Military Training camp is organized to give the students an exposure to outdoor life in a natural habitat which fulfils some of the objectives enshrined in the National Youth Policy.

Students from ABS of both UG & PG participate in this Military Training camp every year.

This camp brings in Synergy and Team Spirit among participants and provides an opportunity for the participants to understand the work ethos and the broader details about the Armed Forces.

Community Outreach Activities

Students of ABS have participated in various community outreach activities. ABS has organized various social awareness programmes in rural areas in vicinity of the campus. ABS has also supported Swachh Bharat Abhiyan (SBA) by cleaning up the streets, roads and infrastructure of places located in and around campus. ABS has organized literacy awareness camp, free Health awareness and health checkup camps thereby contribution to community activities.
