The television studio at Amity University Bengaluru is an example of Innovation and Industry Academia Collaboration, having partnered with NDTV. The students of Amity School of Journalism and Communication engage in a whole range of studio and outdoor production. Students work comprises of news bulletins, discussions based on current affairs and documentaries. Students are divided into groups who complete their projects with the help of expert faculty and industry mentors. These mentors include experienced producers from NDTV, renowned journalists and expert camerapersons and Editors.
The spacious television studio can handle production and postproduction of the whole gamut of TV news, features and long format programmes. It comprises of a multi-camera studio floor with lighting grids and a teleprompter; production control room with control panels which can handle multiple video and audio sources online and offline; graphics and special effects generators; video edit suites with Avid Media composers and also a Mac equipped with Final Cut Pro editing software. Sets to be installed in the Studio are in the process of being constructed.
