FoStaC, FSSAI, GoI

The Food Safety and Standards Authority of India (FSSAI) recently launched the Food Safety Training and Certification (FoSTaC) programme to ensure that food safety training programmes are delivered to the target audience to build up the capability of Food Safety Supervisors of Food Business Operators across the country. FoSTaC aim is to create awareness by Training and Capacity Building of food handlers, operators (FBO) all over India. Among 98 training partners, identified all over India. AIFT is proud to be one.

The training courses under FOSTAC are conducted at 2 stages: -

  • Training of Trainers (TOT) – To identify the Trainers (No fees charged). The training is for the experts identified by FSSAI.
  • Training of Trainees – at Basic, Advanced special levels (Nominal fees charged by the training partner). These courses are conducted for Food Business handlers, students and professionals from Industry and academia.

Since it is mandatory for all the Food Business Operators and handlers to be certified for FoSTaC. The conduct of FoSTaC training's will highlight the name of Amity Institute of Food Technology (AIFT) in National arena and will help the Food Business Operator (FBO), students and professionals from Industry trained and certified for food safety.
