Col (Dr) Kaushik Ray, an alumnus of the National Defence Academy and Indian Military Academy, served in the Indian Army for 26 years. He has extensive experience in counterterror operations, served along the Line of Control in Jammu & Kashmir and also along the Line of Actual Control with China. He commanded a Surveillance and Target Acquisition Unit on the Western Borders with Pakistan and a Field Artillery Regiment in the Doklam sector of Sikkim along the Line of Actual Control opposite China.
Col Ray holds a PhD in Defence & Strategic Studies on Weaponisation of Space and Its Impact on India and an MTech in Weapons Systems. He has several publications in prestigious peer-reviewed journals and has presented research at national and international conferences. Recently transitioning to academia, he is currently an Assistant Professor at Amity University.
