Lt Gen (Dr) SK Gadeock Director General of Amity Institute of Defence and Strategic Studies and Amity Centre for Defence and Strategic Analysis, Vice President Amity Science Technology & Innovation Foundation (ASTIF) Vice Chairman Amity Institute of Defence Technology (AIDT), and Commandant Amity Institute of Education and Training (AIET) was commissioned into the Indian Army on 11 June 1977. During his distinguished career he served two Presidents, as ADC, commanded a GUARDS unit, an Armoured Brigade and an Infantry Division. Besides many staff and command appointment, he served as Logistics Advisor to Botswana Defence Force, at Gaborone, Botswana. He was specifically selected by Chief as Commandant, Defence Services Staff College, Wellington in 2014, where he received many national awards. He is decorated with AVSM for his distinguished service besides being awarded two Chief of Army Staff Commendation Cards. He did MSc, MPhil in Defence Studies and Diploma in Senior Level Defence Management and done his Doctorate in Defence & Strategic Studies from University of Madras. He has written number of Articles and recently authored a Book “War to Peace - Wisdom and Leadership” elaborating Ex Servicemen’s role in Good Governance and Rural development. A “Scholar Warrior in true Sense”.
