The Department of Statistics and Mathematics at Amity University Kolkata recently hosted Convergence, a state-level workshop, to promote the synergy between Statistics and Mathematics. The guest presenters included Dr. Arindam Saha, Managing Director of Vista Intelligence Pvt. Ltd., and Professor Gaurangadeb Chattopadhyay, Head, Department of Statistics, University of Calcutta. The highlights were Dr. Saha's insightful speeches on the practical applications and Professor Chattopadhyay's fascinating inquiry into the relationship between the two areas.
