Greetings from the Amity Institute of Public Health (AIPH), Amity University (U.P), Noida Campus!

At the outset, I would like to share an important extract of a speech delivered by our Honorable Prime Minister of India, Shri Narendra Modi. He said ‘According to the World Health Organization, an average of Rs.6500 per person was lost in India due to the lack of cleanliness and hygiene. Swachh Bharat will make significant impact on public health and in safeguarding income of the poor, ultimately contributing the national economy’. It reflects the commitment of the Indian Government to improve the health of our people and build a stronger economy through a simple but an important public health tool called the ‘Health Literacy’. Of course, these precious words has inspired many of us and I am sure healthcare leaders like you have been working shoulder to shoulder to make this country and the world a better place to live.

In this noble endeavour of yours, our duty has always been to provide you with the right mix of professionally trained human capital that would support to accomplish your organizational need, and most importantly contributes to the fast changing healthcare ecosystems. I am therefore happy to announce our next batch of fourteen (14) experienced, young, energetic, talented and professionally trained public health graduates who are now well prepared and motivated to take the next challenge of their professional career in the fast changing healthcare market across the globe.

Greetings from the Amity Institute of Public Health (AIPH), Amity University (U.P), Noida Campus!

It gives me immense pleasure to welcome all of you to Amity Universe. To start with I would like to say being Healthcare Professionals it becomes our duty to be aware of all the existing healthcare practices, about healthcare system, policies, existing infrastructure, prevailing health related issues not only at National but also at International Level. Living in the Era of Swasth Bharat, it leaves a great responsibility on all of us specifically being Healthcare Professionals. Protecting and guarding health of a poor or a needy leaves a significant impact on public health as a whole and gives strength to them to raise their income and livelihood ultimately contributing to National Economy. No doubt Indian Government has done as a past practice and at present too running various Health Care Awareness Programs, a continuous effort to improve health of our people at large. Such continuous efforts are a great source of inspiration for all of us to realize our individual strength and to give our contribution no matter how small or big it is to make our lives better.

Amity Institute of Public Health aims to impart substantial knowledge in all core areas of Public Health. Blending imparted knowledge with various acquired skills as per areas of interest for the students, AIPH has always been providing professionally trained Masters to meet the current Healthcare Sectors needs and to cope up with the prevailing community healthcare issues. To train our MPH Students, Research Internships, Health Camps, Training Workshops, Seminars, Area Experts/Guests Lectures etc. are few to mention. It gives me great pleasure to mention, that it is our Seventh MPH Batch total of 38 who will be graduating this 2021. They are experienced, young, energetic, talented and professionally trained public health graduates who are now well prepared and motivated to take the next challenge of their professional career in the fast changing healthcare market across the globe.

I firmly believe that Public Health holds immense potential which is yet to be fully explored and holds huge potential for our students to carve out their career in Public Health Sector domains such as Central/State or District Health Agencies, WHO, UN Health Agencies, NGOs, Corporate Foundations, Pharmaceutical Companies, Hospitals, Health Insurance Agencies, Healthcare IT, Consulting Firms or Academic/Research Institutions.

Brief Intro of the AIPH Director

Dr. Amrish Chandra is an established Academician, a Research Scientist, and a Registered Patent Agent with Indian Patent Office. He has extensive experience of 19 years and is associated with Amity University from 2011. Dr Chandra did his Master’s from Birla Institute of Technology, Mesra in 2002, a GATE scorer with 92.32 percentile, he did his Ph.D. in in Pharmaceutical Sciences. His research profile includes more than 100 publications with more than 1250 citations, h-index of 17 & i-10 index of 26, his publications have a cumulative impact factor of 80+, has supervised 8 PhD and 25 PG students & has a DST sponsored Indo-Hungary Project with cumulative total of 1.75 Crore & an Italian consultancy project. He has written one book with Springer & 3 book chapters. Dr. Chandra has delivered numerous talks and influenced more than 10,000 audience till date.
