Prof. Lalitesh Kumar Jain, Director, Amity School of Architecture and Planning (ASAP), AUMP, gave the welcome and the closing note for this guest lecture.
Other Faculty members from ASAP department – Ar. Ashish Sharma, Ar. Manish Chitranshi, Ar. Nikhil Wakode, Ar. Ayushi Garg, Ar. Sudheer Sikarwar, and Ar. Rajeev Parashar, also graced the occasion.
   
About the Event
Since the theme of this event was ‘National Entrepreneurship Day’, noted architect Ar. Sunil Taneja, was invited as the guest for this event. He shared his knowledge with architecture and Interior Design students on the way forward while starting a new firm or startup in this sector.
Ar. Sunil Taneja graduated from MANIT (then MACT), Bhopal in 1980. He has over 40 years of experience in running his own consultancy firm, M/S Taneja and Associates in South Ex, New Delhi. 
 
Objective of the Event
This event is a part of the Central Government’s initiative YUKTI – National Innovation Repository (NIR), which is aiming to build a system of repository of ideas, innovations, and startups, from premier academic institutions like Amity University and others, across the country. 
The event was organized for students especially of B. Arch, BID and M. Plan from ASAP AUMP. The key objectives of this event were as follows –
i)               To make the students aware about the future after their bachelor’s in architecture or interior design degree,
ii)             The way forward if students want to start their own architectural or interior design firm or practice immediately after acquiring their degree,
iii)           The potential obstacles students may face while venturing out during their entrepreneurship journey while starting their new practice.
Outcome of the Event
1.     All these attending students were from Bachelor of Architecture, Bachelor of Interior Design and Master of Planning programs in Amity School of Architecture and Planning (ASAP).
2.     These students got enormous input and knowledge of the way forward after completing their degree.
3.     Certain important concepts and relevant present topics related to architecture and interior design were also discussed during the lecture.
4.     The students also came up with interesting questions and doubts regarding starting new firms in the long run.
5.     Overall, this interactive session was extremely open-ended, with multiple innovative entrepreneurship ideas related to architecture, urban planning, and interior design.
6.     We witnessed a new zeal in students and could spot new talent in the field of creativity and entrepreneurship.
